These shoes are great! Super comfortable, and great design for casual or even for the semi-casual work place. I have wide feet and ordered the wide size and they are perfect. They do run a little bit big though. I usually wear a 12 and had to get 11 1\/2\'s in these so be careful. I would order a half size down.

These shoes are great! Very comfy right out of the box. The leather is a nice quality, with a cool pebbled finish. My only gripe is that they are squeaky. Everyone at work knows I'm coming because they can hear me from down the hall.

This is the most comfortable pair of casual/work shoes that I have ever owned. The toe area of the shoe is a little wider than other casual dress shoes, and that is a big plus in comfort. There is a moderate amount of cushioning. They sometimes squeak for a few minutes when I first put them on, but I believe this is due to the interior of the shoe being suede. The interior is an olive green, and you can notice it slightly. This is the reason why I give it only 4 stars for style. The olive green stands out like a sore thumb when wearing these shoes with black pants. I tried several pairs of shoes from Zappos before I found these. Zappos customer service and return policy is excellent for someone that typically has to order their shoes (14W). I highly recommend these shoes compared to other options offered in the marketplace.

I work in an office environment but on my feet all day on tile floors. These shoes are dressy enough for my office but feel more like walking shoes -- they're great!

Shoes are extremely comfortable. They are nice enough looking to wear to work or around town. However, last night I wore them for the third time and I walked four blocks in a moderate rain shower. My feet were soaked! Four blocks? I had to sit through a three hour class with wet feet! This amount of money for this? How terribly disappointing.

Outstanding fit. These shoes are very comfortable (I have pronated feet and use orthotic insoles, so shoe fit/quality is important to me). Fit was right-on for my size: 8.5 D. They felt broken in right out of the box, and I find myself wearing them even after I return home from work rather than changing into something else. I wish all shoes fit and wore like this. I've had great luck with Merrell boots and hikers, and I'm pleased to have now discovered their shoes.

These shoes are great. Nice, simple, well designed and comfortable. A great dress shoe for someone who wants to looks casual while looking nice. 4 stars for comfort since they could have a softer footbed. I added an insole - problem solved.

I've been wearing size 11 wide in running shoes for quite a while, so that's the size I originally ordered in these. They were way too big! These shoes seem wider than expected. I reordered through Zappos' generous policy but felt I had to try the 10.5 wide and the 11D (regular). After trying them both on, I was surprised again to find that they were almost interchangeable. I decided to stick with the 11D and allow for some breaking in on the width. A shoe salesman once told me that a good, new pair of shoes should feel like a firm handshake. That advice guided my final decision. The footbed is very comfortable. I should enjoy these!

I've always loved Merrell's and bought this and tried it. The sole is not going to let you be a world rambler in slippery weather! Everything else about the shoe is 5-star, but the smooth sole is definitely something that's not made for rain, snow, ice, or polished floors.

The shoes are very nice, but on the first day I started walking in them the back of the shoe ground into my Achilles tendons and gave me blisters on each foot. I am hoping they will break in.

Cool looking shoe and comfortable, but they squeak louder than any shoe I have ever owned. I am hoping that as the materials wear in a bit more the noise will subside. The noise is coming from the uppers. I put a leather conditioner on them and that seemed to help a little bit.

It's always a good sign when the shape of a shoe is analogous to the shape of your foot. That is certainly the case with the World Rambler. The Stollen leather manages to be both very soft and slightly firm at the same time. That makes for a shoe that is very comfortable right out of the box. The soles are interesting; the right sole has the profile of the western hemisphere and the left has a profile of Eurasia. I can't remember ever having a pair of shoes that didn't have matching soles. None the less, they work very well and are about as stable on the hard pack snow and the pure ice roads of Montana, as any shoes I have. A nice looking shoe overall; easy on the feet and easy on the wallet. I'm pleased.

Previously I had been wearing boat shoes every day, and I decided needed some extra support. I purchased these shoes, and they offer exactly what I was looking for. I wear them all day every day, and they're very comfortable. It's true they're not super waterproof, but I've only had a problem when I walked more than 20 min and it's actively raining. Highly recommend.

I purchased these shoes a couple of months ago. I always like to wear them for a while before commenting. That being said, the fit was great on day one, and continues to be a fantastic shoe. I fit in a large and wide shoe, and the availability of wide sizing was a tremendous plus with these shoes. The pigskin lining inside is very comfortable, and I find myself searching for more shoes with a pigskin lining. I will be purchasing more Merrell shoes in the future.
