I've had these boots for about a month and haven't had a chance to use them in the snow until recently. I have worn them around the house a few times. They are warm and comfortable to wear. I have flatter feet than some might, so the arch support is well suited to my foot geometry. I wasn't able to find these in stores when I was shopping for new winter boots. I own a pair of Merrell Chameleon 3. I took the chance and ordered the same size in these boots. The sizing was just what I expected, exactly the same. They are lightweight, look good, and the traction on ice and snow are superb. I didn't notice any water seeping through, and the snow that did get accumulate on the boots didn't start to melt despite walking briskly and generating a lot of body heat. They're not the tallest boots available, but I typically where snow pants in deep snow or attach a pair of gaiters before heading out to snowshoe or take a walk in the woods. Overall, a great product, just what I would expect from Merrell. I hope to come back during the winter after I get some more use out of these boots to update my review. I don't see them disappointing me.

I normally hate to wear boots and have not worn any for at least 15 years. After my feet getting cold and wet for a week straight with 3 inches of snow, and 15-20 degree temps. I realized this needed to change. Having used Zappos before, I looked and found these. They keep my feet dry, and really warm. Best of all they are more comfortable than my best tennis shoes. Zappos always delivers their product fast. It took 1 day for my shoes to come from when they shipped them, and I didn't have to pay extra shipping for the fast service. Great company, and great products. I recommend them to everyone.

I purchased these for my son for Christmas. I ordered them at 7:30 a.m. and received them by noon the next day...amazing! My son loved the boots. They are very light, but also very warm. They were just what he wanted for work.

These are awesome boots, and Zappos' service is just amazing. I needed some solid snow boots for trekking around 9,000 feet in the Rockies this winter. I ended up ordering three pair of Merrell boots (the other two were the Isotherm Mid and Isotherm Zip) to choose between, and these won out on basis of comfort, warmth and ruggedness. I have over sized calves, and these were the most comfortable in regard to that, and though the Mids were awfully cute, they just did not seem hard core enough for the rugged conditions I was expecting. These kept my toes warm and dry in below zero temps with lots of snow and ice. They are relatively easy on and off, with good ankle support. But they absolutely need a double knot to stay snug. Highly recommended!

I just received the boots. I am usually a size 10 1/2 in shoes, so I ordered a Size 10 1/2 & 11. I received the boots and was very happy with the Style of the boot. I tried the size 11 on but it was small, maybe by a half size. But the toe box is also narrow (I noticed this before trying them on). I figured with a boot, the toe box should be a little wider. I was disappointed because I wanted these boots to fit as they were nicely made with 'softness' in the right places and I really liked the style and color. I don't think I will order a size 11 1/2 though because of the narrow toe box. I gave the boots a score of 5 in Style & Comfort because even though they were not the right cut for my foot, they have a lot of potential to those who can wear a narrow boot. I gave the boot a score of 4 because they were cut too narrow. This boot is not as heavy duty as let's say a Sorel Conquest, but some of us don't need a very robust boot as some do that live in climates where the weather dictates such.

Excellent boots and well built and light. We have plenty of snow this year and they performed very well, kept me dry and warm. Good traction on ice. The size is right for a change and I could wear them strait from the box.

Really pleased with these boots. They work as they should: warm, dry and comfortable. My first day with them, we went snowshoeing for a good 2 hours. I had thinner wool socks on and these boots were completely fantastic! One thing I have noticed, however is the arch support may not be adequate for my left foot (my arch collapses almost completely on that foot for some reason). As a result, when walking to work on snowy sidewalks, I get a slight ache in my arch/ankle. This pain is similar to what I had before I went to more supportive running shoes. This is not the fault of Merrell and I still really really like these boots, but this is more of an FYI for potential buyers.

I bought these boots just in time for the third largest snowstorm in Chicago's recorded history. They're not the most stylish boots but they held up very well. Good traction, even on solid ice. Laces hold up nice and tight. And the best part is they keep my feet extremely warm. They do run a half size small especially if you like wearing thicker socks.

I've worn Merrell boots for years and have some brand since they're headquartered near my home in Michigan (we Michiganders are loyal to our job providers). I needed to replace a pair of Merrell winter boots that I loved but wore out so I thought I'd give these a try. So I was disappointed to have to return them for a couple of reasons. First, they are definitely too small. I could hardly fit them on even in thin socks and couldn't possibly have been comfortable with heavy winter wool socks and liners. More importantly these boots are basically made of and feel like plastic. I really don't appreciate that feel. Even the lacing system is plastic and I wondered about the durability. That said, Zappos service is wonderful. Printed the return label and ordered a pair of Keen Deltas (which I love). I requested standard free shipping on the replacements but they shipped priority and I received them the next day!

This is a terrific boot. I have 3 dogs that I take on 2 mile walks every day and replaced a worn out pair of Columbia Bugaboo boots with these. They are light and comfortable and give great traction. The only negative is sizing - I originally ordered one-half size larger than my shoe size and had to return for a full size larger. Zappos handled the return quickly and efficiently.

Nice boot, wasn't sure want I wanted, just that it was warm, waterproof, and that it felt good after I wore it all day, Well it does, so buy it and you'll be happy you did.

This was an awesome buy! I hate having cold feet in the winter, and these boots have definitely kept my feet both warm and dry - especially with all the snow we've gotten this year. They support my flat feet well and are super comfortable. Great boot at a great price.

I had to return these, even though I ordered a size 14 when I normally wear a size 13, because my feet are super flat and it was not a wide enough boot. Nothing terrible about the boot, per se - just not wide enough for super flat feet.

These boots are amazing. They are everything I was looking for in winter boots. They are very warm, very comfortable and soft inside. They also breath well enough to wear inside or in semi warmer weather like 50°. I thought they might be too warm for that but they are still fine. I wear 10½ usually, but I bought them in 11½ and they are good because they are cut smaller like others said. I wear them casually with jeans out for the night or for walking on trails in the wet rain or snow. They are good for it all. I thought they might be too specific to wear in everyday situations but they are good for it all.

I ordered these boots to be used in the winter (up in Wisconsin). The fit is surprisingly good. They are pretty roomy in the toe area, allowing me to wear thick or double socks, but not too roomy for one pair. I've only worn these in 30's and light snow, but so far, they are very warm. The comfort is very nice and I love wearing these boots. They are one of the pricier boots, but I feel (so far) they are worth it. One disadvantage of the black finish is that (like a black car), they show dirt and scuff marks more easily, but I can live with that. Great boots so far!
