These were very comfortable and attractive shoes but I decided to send them back because they have a brown rubber sneaker-type sole which extends up over the toe and heel. In person (on the Silver Lining color) it's very noticeable and totally ruins the pretty, semi-dressy look of the shoe. An unfortunate design choice, otherwise would have been a great shoe to go with summer sundresses.

I purchased these thinking I could wear them for a weekend in NYC. These were not a good choice. I loved the idea of a little heel but I wobbled in them and the straps were not as supportive as I would have hoped. They left a lot of foot uncovered and unsupported and I think that added to my unstableness. They fit a half size smaller as I ordered the 8 and usually wear a 8 and 1/2. I would not recommend these shoes.

I love this sandal! It is so cute and so functional. I can wear it to work and out walking around. It has great support and balance. It allows me to have a shoe with a heel for work and also allows me to take the stairs or a walk!

I have a pair of tan Merrell 'Bassoon' sandals, so when I wanted black I looked to Merrell. My Bassoons are so comfortable it almost feels like walking barefoot! Unfortunately Zappos no longer carries the Bassoon style so I settled on this sandal. They're very attractive, the soles quite comfortably springy and because they're a little bit dressier than my Bassoon I would say they're perfect for me. However, the stitching on the straps is a little rough on the inside, unlike the Bassoon whose straps are lined in suede. I know for a fact that I wouldn't need to walk far before the rubbing of the stitches will make blisters on my feet. I already have two pairs of otherwise perfectly nice sandals I can't wear to walk far in for that very reason. I'm sure they would be fine with stockings but they're not dressy enough for stockings. Also the foot liner has stitching which uncomfortably rubs the bottoms of my feet. Really minor issues in an otherwise nice shoe, but still a deal breaker for me. Sad to say they will be sent back, which thankfully is not a problem with Zappos. And I found a pair of Merrell Bassoon in black elsewhere.

Nice shoes. I was always a 10 but a few years of barefoot in Asia has made me 11. I have troubles with 11s because for some reason shoe manufacturers think if one is an 11 then one's foot must be huge compared to a 10 instead of just a little longer and so shoes tend to be to be all around not just longer. This shoe is better, but still just a little loose. I did get it, do where it and I like it but if the overall size of the body of the shoe had been just a little smaller it would have been great. Merrell is my favorite brand of shoe. Nothing compares to a Merrell sole.

For such a simple comfortable looking shoe, it creates enough imbalance and ache due to bad structure to return them. I'm so sad, I love how classic they are. If they just added arch support (which there is really next to nothing) the foot/ankle/knee area would not be so tired. The shoes are surprisingly light for looking heavy or clunky! But the shape makes the foot fit funny, there is no arch support or ankle support, so it's almost like the foot doesn't know where to sit in these. I wore these for an entire day and was constantly repositioning my foot to get back on the shoe and fit correctly. Not worth the price! Also, the anti-shock works and the memory foam footbed is wonderful too and the straps are so soft, there is no issue whatsoever with rubbing because the shoe is made with quality materials, but no matter what bells and whistles you add to an oddly designed shoe without support, pain soon follows after a few hours of use! Boo, Merrell! Get some Arch Support in these and they would be a dream shoe.

I normally wear heels, but needed shoes for walking all over New York City. I love my Merrell hiking boots, so bought these Merrell sandals. They worked out great! I put at least 20 miles on them the first week I owned them and my feet were happy! They look really cute on, too - much better than you can tell from the picture.

This sandal was disappointing since it looked super comfy. I've been looking for a comfortable walking sandal as I am planning a trip and will be doing a lot of walking in hilly areas. As soon as I slipped my foot into the shoe, I felt pressure from the straps on my big toe and could tell this would cause pain and a blister for sure. The foot bed is very padded and comfortable and the heel is a good height. Other than the strap problem is overall a cute shoe.

Super comfy shoe. A little loose on the lower back strap for my heel, but probably adding an extra hole would work. I found this sandal slightly too casual for what I was seeking (a dress sandal), so it goes back.

Very comfortable shoe! Good for walking in the summer when it is just too hot for sneakers, yet you still need something that will be comfortable all day. I am a wide width and the medium fit perfectly.

These sandals are awesome! They can either be worn for a dressy occasion or for a casual event. They are so comfortable. When I put them on, I felt like I was sinking into a marshmallow. And they still feel that way after I have worn them many many times! I would also like to commend Zappos on your great customer service. I received these sandals the day after I ordered them and there was no charge for shipping! You have me as a customer for life!

These shoes are amazing! I did not expect them to be so comfortable and they have proven to be my most comfortable summer shoes yet! I walk 1.5 miles to work in them and my feet are still ready for a hard day at work. Since I have a slight bunion, this style was perfect since it gives lots of space for my toes and supports the rest of my foot. I found the height to be perfect; it supports the natural shape of the foot, and puts no extra strain on the balls of the feet (and this is coming from someone who will not even wear heels to weddings!). I highly recommend this shoe. You are sure to be pleasantly surprised.

I ordered the "Navy" and it was clearly a charcoal color -- nothing blue about them. They also seemed quite wide for a "Medium" or regular width. There did seem to be excellent arch support, and might have tried adjusted straps had the color been as expected, but returned them instead.

I have plantar fasciitis and Merrells are the only shoes that I wear. These were a little scary because they have a heel and might not have enough arch support. But they turned out to be so comfortable! I wore them for hours! Now I have nice sandals that I can wear! They are well made and nice looking. They arrived faster than I thought they would, Zappos is amazing!
