I walk my dog thru fields everyday, and sometimes the grass is soaking wet, I HATE WET SOCKS, so I bought these and true to the advertisement, they are waterproof, NO WET SOCKS for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say originally I loved these shoes. The fit was good, they were comfy and they kept my feet dry. But after a year they were useless. I had come to expect more from Merrell considering the amount of money I spent on them but literally eleven months after buying them (and not everyday and I didn't wear them at all in the summer) the leather started to flake away and they were definitely not water tight. I will be looking for a different more rugged shoe.

I used to wear a 8M, but after pregnancy I wear an 8 1/2C (slightly wide.) I ordered a 9W. The shoe size on the box is 9W but the shoe says 9 only (customer service called the warehouse.) I wore them around the house with different socks and they fit great, using different tightnesses with the lacing. I tie them loose, to slip on/off without lacing. I have run trails in rain, snow and mud, and they keep my feet dry. Stiff at first, but relaxes a little. One shoe weighs 8 ounces (by my scale), my Asics is 8 ounces and my Timberland leather hiking boot is 1.2 ounces. The brindle color looks great with jeans, pants/shorts (khaki, olive and brown). I wear them everywhere (trails and town) and they look cute, sporty, practical and all-seasons in the NW. Love my shoes - Zappos delivered in one day and has great customer service!!!

These shoes are amazing. They fit like a dream at a full size larger than I usually wear (10). They made a 10K walk along a canal feel like a jaunt to the corner, and despite a light rain, my feet were never cold or wet. They also didn't need any breaking in. I ordered these after being disappointed by a pair of Keens and now I'm Merrell for life. Seriously. These shoes are amazing. If you're worried about the width being too large by ordering a size up, the shoes are exactly one size smaller than marked in every respect, may as well be straight 10s in my case.
I'd also recommend: Sorel

I love these shoes; they are comfortable right out of the box. However, I was not careful enough when putting them on and scrunched the back down creating little ridges on the inside around my heel thus causing a blister, so I recommend being very careful when putting them on not to create the ridges because once they are there, there is no way to get rid of them. I walk in these shoes every day in the desert, winter and summer, and these shoes keep my feet dry in all kinds of weather plus I have good traction when walking on snow or ice.

These Merrell Siren Sports are very comfortable. I wore them on a 5 mile hike a few days after purchasing them and my feet were completely comfortable with no blisters or problems. They are perfect for going to my sons' games where I'm often standing in damp grass. The only disappointment with this shoe is that it was not offered in a wide width in all the color selections. I would have prefered more cheerful colors.
