The Salzburg are my favorite Merrell shoes so far. They feel as good as you would expect from Merrell and look as good to.

I bought these for a trip to Europe this Christmas and wore them for two weeks with only minimal time to break them in beforehand. They kept my feet warm and dry though the cold weather (mid-30s) and were very comfortable in in extended walking.

Very satisfied with this shoe, it's good looking, durable, waterproof and very comfortable on cold, wet hikes after a short break-in period...exactly as expected. Size is very true, but hard to tell in the store because the toe is firm. The insulation keeps you extremely warm outdoors, but is a little uncomfortable sitting in a warm office or on long car rides. Perfect shoe for cold-weather travel or jobs that require a combination of outdoor and indoor work (architects and engineers will love them from job-site to office).

I'm quite pleased with the feel/comfort and the warmth of these waterproofs. Also good news is how the tread doesn't slip on the snowy ice, as my work boots tend to. Seems as if there's a less slippery quality to the rubber. My only complaint is that the shoelaces, though nice, are awful long. But I'd definitely recommend this shoe; it's my winter daily walker up here in Michigan.

I love these shoes! A great winter shoe would be the best way to sum it up. I think they look great, but are also warm, comfortable and waterproof. Merrell has become my favorite shoe company as this is my 3rd pair from Merrell. I have their Thermo boots and a pair of their Jungle Moc. All are great!

My husband has never owned a pair a Merrell shoes. He usually just goes to the local department store and finds something on sale. He put these on and couldn't stop talking about how good they feel. My hubby has high arches and said that he feels that his arch is actually supported by the shoe (a rarity for him). I think we'll be buying this brand from now on. Thank you!

I could not be more pleased with these shoes. I needed a good-looking, sturdy shoe that I could wear every day at my business casual office. While the Merrell Salzburg certainly fits that bill, where it really shines is when you have to walk around in the city. I purchased these shoes right before a trip to San Francisco in early February and the weather during that week was terrible -- cold rain nearly every day. I had to walk around quite a bit, up and down the steep wet hills of SF, and through countless puddles on sidewalks and streets. Yet, while every other part of me was drenched, the whole time my feet stayed warm, cozy, and dry! My new shoes were perfect for the occasion and provided good traction on the wet surfaces as well. Now I'm in Seattle, on another trip, and it's raining here, too, but my feet are dry and comfortable.

This is my second pair of Merrells. Both pairs are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. My chronic foot discomfort has nearly disappeared in the Merrell era of my life. This shoe is classy looking, too. If I'm not in bed, I'm wearing Merrells.
