Slip on wet painted surfaces! Super comfy and cute enough. I thought I found perfect shoe for rainy days. I wrote to Merrell last year asking them to please make a running shoe in brown with solid top and attached tongue for rainy days. But 1st day I wore these i almost had a serious accident slipping on wet painted surface as the sole is too hard and slippery. Also the heel too high for running shoe feel. I want the shoes for exercise walking and errands etc. Please Merrell go back to drawing board and make them just the same but with sole just like a running shoe. Thank you. Waiting.

Great shoe for just about anything: walking the dogs, going to the store, etc. Looks great with jeans. Very stiff when walking, but comfortable. Somewhat narrow for a medium width shoe, but accommodates my orthotic well. My only complaint is that I have been wearing them for about a month, every day, and the back heel is showing some wear, but I do walk about 1 to 1/2 hours a day with the dogs. I like the first pair so much I ordered a second pair as a spare.

This is a great shoe with the comfort of a sneaker and the looks of a nice casual shoe. I wear this shoe with jeans and it looks very nice. I have a narrow foot and this shoe works out just fine with a pair of socks.

I love the shoes, they are great! Good fit! I wear with jeans and could wear with shorts in summer! Zappos is the best. I ordered Ugg brown shoes, the Merrells fit better. I love brown tie shoes!

Great shoe. This is my second pair. I use one for hiking and the other for everything else. (I did swap out the insoles for Superfeet.) They're great walking shoes. The first pair carried me all over London with happy feet. I wear an 8.5 wide and wear a 9 in the Merrell Quartz. They are a little long for my foot, but this hasn't been a problem and they don't actually look long. Very cute for such a useful shoe.

These shoes are very comfortable; consistent with the Merrell brand. I bought these to wear with jeans and/or khakis. I think they are a nicer alternative than wearing tennis shoes, but equally as comfortable.

I love these shoes. Right out of the box they were ready to wear, no break in needed. Also the fit was perfect. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit. 7 1/2 sometimes are too small while an 8 is too big. Thanks to Zappos I can try all the shoes I need to find that perfect one. Shortly after buying these shoes, I wore them every day, all day for a 2 week trip to Turkey. Walking on uneven surfaces or in the rain, they are perfect. My feet never even got tired walking more than 10 miles a day. (Have to say, though, I did use my own insoles.) Excellent support and very light weight.

Wonderful shoes. Stable, well made. Good for walking. Because of my ankle pronation I put an orthotic in, plenty of room for that. Runs true to size. Zappos is an excellent place to get shoes, I highly recommend them.

I love these shoes. I can wear them to school or hiking. Comfortable with plenty of room in the foot bed (I have a bunion on one foot) and great looking. They felt comfortable right out of the box with virtually no break-in period.

I bought these shoes as travel shoes where we were doing a lot of walking on all types of surfaces. They have a somewhat rigid sole which was great for travel because it could handle uneven surfaces well. Another plus was that it did not look like a running shoe.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Norway, and they were perfect. Comfortable straight out of the box and for the whole trip, on both hiking trails and city streets. My feet are relatively wide, and the fit was good. And the shoes are cute, besides! I recommend them highly.

Great shoe! The most comfortable shoe I own. I have very narrow feet but for some reason these fit me well. Bought them for a trip to Norway, Denmark and Amsterdam...walked and hiked for hours with no numbness (I usually suffer from even with tennis shoes) on the ball of foot. I did add a cheap, cut to size Dr Scholl's pad just for extra cush. Like because it was passable going out to dinner and of course touring - didn't have to pack yet another pair of shoes.
