I bought these boots for my trip to Eastern Europe during the Christmas break. They were very comfortable during hours of walking on cobblestone and climbing stairs. Now that I am back home in So Cal, I am wearing them a lot through the recent downpours. My feet have stayed nice and dry through it all. Although I did wear them in snow, they were not as warm as my down insulated boots. I bought my normal size and have worn them with thin and thick socks and they still fit fine with no blisters or slippage. These were a very expensive purchase for me, but they have turned out to be a wise investment. They seem like well made boots that will last for years.

Love these boots. They are very comfortable and I think stylish and sporty at the same time. While they seem to fit true to size, I wouldn't be able to wear this with socks on a cold day.

Quality product, but too roomy in the calf, as usual. I wanted to love these boots, but they're just too big in the calf. I don't think I have especially skinny calves (15" at widest part while standing), but these things are big enough in the calf that they look like rain boots. The leather is very nice, the sole feels like it has great traction, and they do look great with pants. But I want to be able to wear a boot with skirts, and this one simply doesn't cut it because of the roomy calves. Darn.

These boots are very comfortable, and really cute. I\'m a teacher and on my feet all day, and typically wear only Merrells or Danskos to work. It\'s great to have a comfortable, waterproof boot that is so stylish.

These are my all-time favorite boots and shoes ever. If I could wear them year-round, I would. I bought them a couple of years ago and they are just now getting past their wearability point (and I walk a lot!). They served me well during a snow-storm last year, and have been wonderfully versatile for work and play. Highly recommend them and will be buying my second pair soon!

These boots are awesome!!!! I bought a pair two years ago, but walked all the way through the soles and loved them so much, I got the exact same ones. Don\'t let it worry you that I walked through the soles, I was living in NYC at the time and walking to and from work every day, and putting miles on them besides that! The boots are as comfortable as can be, but still have a great tread if it\'s icy or slushy outside. \r\n\r\nJust in case you do put as many miles on them as I did, DON\'T wear them out with holes in them! You will collect water, and the super-cushy soles will stay wet and slosh with every step...yuck.\r\n\r\nMerril does not have a repair department at this time, but they gave me a name and a gift certificate towards having the bottoms re-soled. The first cobbler I took them to couldn\'t do it, and after that I figured I\'d waited too long and should just buy new boots! But the program is there if you need it and don\'t wait as long as I did. \r\n\r\nBuy the boots! You\'ll love them!

These boots are cute and seem well made, but they just don\'t fit me. I have fairly wide feet and the toe box was much too tight. But the heel was too wide and my heel slipped when I walked so a bigger size wouldn\'t have helped. There is arch support, but it hit me in the wrong spot and was just uncomfortable. The calf fit just right. It didn\'t gape, but I could easily tuck skinny jeans comfortably. I really wanted to like these boots, but they are going back.

I live in the northwest and during most of the year it is cool and wet. I needed a boot that was waterproof, had good traction and was fashionable enough to wear at work. This boot fit the bill perfectly. It looks a little like a rain boot, but not too much. I love the fact that I can wear them with a skirt for work, or tuck my jeans in and wear them out to dinner with my husband. On top of that, they are extremely comfy. The leather on the leg is a little stiff, but personally, I like that. Thank you Zappos once again.

I love this boot! For anyone wondering what size to get, I think they run true to size. I wear an 8 or 8-1/2 and I questioned which size to order. I have slightly narrow feet and an average calf size so I chose to order a size 8 and they fit perfectly. They were comfortable the first wearing. They are perfect paired with a short sweater dress and leggings or tucked in jeans and a down vest. They came the day after I ordered them, great service Zappos!

Comfy, stylish, practical. What more could you want? I purchased these for snowy days and they are perfect. They don't have a thick lining so I purchased a half size larger than what I normally wear so I could wear thick wool socks. My feet stay warm. I have worn them with jeans tucked in and out and they look great. I love the traction on the boot and the fact that the toe is reinforced (so far, they still look brand new even though I know I've stubbed the toe on rocks, curbs, etc.).
