Shoe is nice looking. I was not able to wear them out of the house as they were very narrow. If you have wide feet this shoe is not for you. I was hoping I could wear them in, so I wore them around the house awhile but gave up once my foot started getting numb. Otherwise, I can't say for warmth but they are good looking and seem pretty versatile.

I usually wear an 8 in the Encore clog, so I ordered an 8 and 8 1/2. Kept the 8 1/2. Ordering a whole size up would be too large in the heel. They are really waterproof, I wore them for the 1st time in NYC in the pouring rain and my feet were as dry as a bone and I walked over 20 blocks. I can't comment on the warmth factor yet, because it was 50 degrees. Some facts that might help you decide the right size: Not much toe room even in the 8 1/2, doubt a heavy sock could be worn, unless you are a narrow width. The toe was wide enough, but definitely not enough wiggle room, as in the Encore style. I wore with trauser socks. The heel area is wide in comparison to the toe, and the boots slip a little in an up and down movement...maybe heel is wide to allow for pull-on, as there is no zipper. Since I knew I would be walking a lot and this was the first time wearing them, I used mole skin on my ankles and that worked. I'm hoping they will break in and i don't plan on walking 20 blocks again anytime soon! All in all, I would recommend them. My advice is order two sizes and keep what fits best.

I have ordered this boot twice, returned one pair and getting ready to return the second pair. They are a very attractive boot, but both times I have received them, the left boot has been much narrower and a little shorter than the right boot. It is not only apparent in the way that the boots fit, but there is a definite difference in the appearance of the two boots when held side by side. Zappos service has been great in accepting returns, it is lack of quality control in the manufacture of the boots, that although they are marked as the same size, they were somehow not cut or created in the same way, so that they are not even close to be the same size. I ordered 10.5, a half size larger than my shoe size, and the fit in the right boot was great. These boots are beautiful, and if the left boot was the same size. length and width as the right boot, I'd be very happy. I will not be ordering them a third time, as I fear I'll get the same mismatched boots yet again.

First of all no snow in southern Indiana yet. I am saving them for snow. I tried them on and they run quite small. Since they are leather, hoping they stretch or they may be returned before I wear them. Not real cushy either, but like I said; only tried them on for a minute.

These boots fit great and are really warm. Unlike other reviewers, I found these boots to be true to size. I wear a 9 and do not have narrow feet but am not considered wide either. I ordered a 9 and they are perfect. They are very warm as well. I took my dog on a walk this morning and only wore one pair of normal socks and my feet never got even the slightest bit cold. Currently it is 17 degrees F. cold! They look cute with a pair of rolled up jeans. I highly recommend these boots. Great job Merrell!

I can not tell you how great it is deal with a company like this. They were prompt and very nice when I had to make a return. These boots do run small and when I called I had the boots the very next day. Unbelievable. I will be doing more business with them.

These boots are fantastic. I went through three other labels trying to find the right winter boots. The Sorels were so wide I felt like my feet were going to slip right out of them as I was walking, the North Face pair offered absolutely no warmth whatsoever, and the Kamiks were just so-so. These are the perfect combination of warmth, comfort, and ease, and they are not bad-looking, either! I disagree with others who said these were for narrow feet; my feet are definitely medium, and to me they feel wonderfully snug, which is a great characteristic for a winter boot.

These boots are very warm and waterproof. I took them with me to Russia and walked through snow for three days. They were perfect.

These were a bit pricey, but I wanted something that would be well-made and at least slightly stylish for snowy weather. These fit the bill. They were comfortable right out of the box. Leather is nice quality (though my pair arrived with a few scratches). Didn't get to wear them much given the mild winter, but will look forward to wearing them for years to come (I hope!).
