This is the only shoe I have worn for almost 8 years now! I just wish they lasted longer. The sole starts to rip away in the front and almost 1 shoe always ends up with a squeak in each step! But I will still go buy another pair with hopes that each one they make is an improvement!?

This is the only time I have been able to find a hiking shoe in a wide size. What an enormous difference for my feet. Previously, normal width shoes caused me to suffer from Morton's neuroma, a burning sensation in the flat of the foot. It is no longer a problem with the wide size available in the Merrell Moab. Very highly recommended to those with wide feet.

I love these shoes. Excellent fit, comfortable and they are waterproof. They do seem to run about a half a size small. I normally wear a size 11 in Merrell, but I had to go to 11.5 for the right fit.

Solid shoe. Forefoot is roomy even for my wide flat feet but not much cushion. Rearfoot has nice cushion. I use insoles in most of my shoes (Superfeet) but with this shoe I needed extra thick insoles to fill forefoot and add a little extra cushion. I\'ve been wearing them at work in prep for my trip and they have broken in nicely.

These are my all time favorite work shoes. I have been wearing Merrells for years. I love that they are gore-tex. I am on my feet all day on concrete and they keep my feet dry and comfortable.

Merrells were not available; used email notification to let me know when new stock arrived. 2 weeks later email notified me that Merrells were in stock; placed order. In hands within 3 days. Merrells are the best shoe I have ever owned. Gore-Tex is great, no wet feet. This is my 5th pair of Merrell Moabs. Fantastic company, will absolutely place future orders.

I bought these Merrells to wear as my primary weekend shoe for New England winters. These shoes seemed to have the right combination of everything I was looking for, including the Gore-Tex lining. At first I was concerned with the snug fit of the toe box but after a couple of of nights with a shoe horn and a couple of wearings, I'm pleased with the fit of these. Kudos goes out to Zappos for their speedy shipping. I ordered at 9 pm and received by noon the next day; that was with their standard shipping!

These are the most comfortable shoes I can remember owning. The fit is perfect (glad I went with the Wide). I've only had them about a month, but I wore them on a hike in the hills of Belize (on a rainy day) let them air dry, brushed them off and they look like new again.

I purchased these shoes in March 2009 and was initially satisfied with them. They are comfortable, and the fact that they were lined with Gore-Tex was even better. For a while they seemed great. After a few months of daily use, I noticed that water would penetrate the shoe very easily, and they gained a very annoying squeak when walking. Cut to October 2009, and the upper is starting to detach from the sole of the right shoe, which lets plenty of water in at the toe box. They still squeak, and the laces tend to untie themselves on occasion. Now, they are still comfortable, but the feature that convinced me to buy them (waterproof) has been defeated, and they are just a regular pair of shoes. These are probably not worth the price that is asked. I have other pairs of Merrell shoes, and they are fantastic, even after lots of wear. These just do not stand up in the long term. Just my two cents' worth: I have a 3-year-old pair of Nike Gore-Tex shoes that still maintain their original waterproof abilities. I guess I'll stick with those for a little longer.

These shoes fit right out of the box first time. No need to reorder to get a good fit! The arch support is so good and I did not have to use my custom orthodontics. This is an outstanding shoe to wear in Florida when its not too hot. I have worn them for one month now. I've noticed my back is less out of whack from my last two visits to my chiropractor. I will buy more. They are much better than my NB shoes. I bought these because of the high number of good ratings. I am sixty-seven years old.

I bought these shoes for my husband. He works outside and is tough on shoes. The waterproofing is great and they hold up to the wear and tear. This is his second pair, he likes them so much.

Very comfortable, no break-in needed. Wore these in the Andes a few days after they arrived, very good (but not excellent) traction on most surfaces, didn\'t have much of a chance to test the Goretex water proofing but they remained dry in moist conditions. \r\n\r\nWide size made a tremendous (positive) difference for my wide feet.

Out of the box comfortable for hiking, did not need the usual 'break in' period. Biggest advantage of the XCR is that it's made with GoreTex and is waterproof, nice for light snow or sloppy conditions. Highly recommended.

My second pair of Merrell Moab XCRs. Very good shoe for waliking the dog rain or shine. GoreTex lining keeps my feet dry. With the rubber toe I can kick the tennis ball for fido, and not worry about scuff marks.\r\nZappos was great to deal with, got my shoes in a timely fashion. More shoes to come from Zappos for me.

The Merrell Moab is an excellent shoe. It is very comfortable as I wore it on an all day hike two days after I received it. Zappos is a great way to go for ordering and with a full warranty return if you don't like it, you cant go wrong.

These shoes are great. I just bought my second pair I was so pleased with the first. I wear these shoes everyday to work outside in the forest/jungle. These shoes are light, athletic, comfortable, and WATERPROOF. The best combination in my opinion. The damp grass in the mornings does not leave me miserable all day with wet socks anymore. Zappos is awesome too. Ordered these shoes at noon on Thursday and mentioned I was hoping to have them for a weekend trip to Alaska. They sent the shoes free overnight shipping and I had them before noon on Friday! It blew my mind how that\'s even possible! Then to top off the great experience I received a hand written thank you note from the girl that took my order. Zappos is the best place to buy shoes!

Let me tell you about an amazing customer experience from Zappos. \r\n\r\nI needed new hiking shoes for a hiking trip later this summer. I actually went to another store to buy these shoes, but the store did not have my size in stock. I looked them up on Zappos around 10:00 PM and made the purchase. I selected standard shipping because it was free and I wasn\'t in that huge of a rush. \r\n\r\nI got the shoes next day. LESS THAN 24 HRS!!!!\r\nI was impressed!

Awesome. I accidently fell into a creek with these and my feet barely got wet...after a few days they were like new again! Very comfortable. The laces don\'t stay tied...but double knotting works.
