These boots are very cute, but I have found that NONE of the Merrell boots fit a girl with larger calves. This boot as well as their other ones state they have a 16" circumference, but they don't. They tend to be 14-15". I'm very disappointed in Merrell's lack of math skills. Also, you may have to order a size up as they seem to run tight in the foot, which will make it difficult if you want to wear thicker socks. Returned.

In love! I ordered the boulder color is pretty grey! Just received them and cannot wait to wear them! I listened to the other reviews and ordered a 1/2 size up and they are perfect! These boots will make a statement! So far they felt comfortable when trying them on! Worth ordering them!

Order at least a size larger when you order these. Cute boot but they run small and narrow. Too bad, had to return.

I tried two sizes (thank you Zappos for being so quick with the turnaround!) ending up with the 8.5 instead of the 9, so thin socks for sure. I've worn them only a few times, but they've been really comfortable and I've received a ton of compliments. I wear them with jeans, but I'm sure they would also look good with a skirt and tights.

I have been looking for a pair of boots for the last 3 years that was fashionable and was good for the weather here in the NE. It is perfect for the fall and springtime seasons here. They are very comfortable and beautiful at the same time. I am so glad I found these. They were worth every cent I paid!

I got this boot in the brown color. It is truly a very attractive, well-made boot. As usual, though, I'm having a problem with the calf-fit. I think I just really need an adjustable boot (as in lace-up), because of my 13 inch calf! I also did find the toe to be a bit snug, and I'm not certain that going up in size would have helped. Zappos is the place to shop for boots, though!

Great boot. This is the stylish version of the rain boot, and it won't make your feet sweat like the plastic versions. The only negative is the lack of arch support.

Terrible Merrell show. Felt like a cheap Walmart show with nice leather. The shoe looks great but is terribly uncomfortable. My wife owns a dozen pair of Merrells and she couldn't believe that they would put their name on such a low quality product.

I really like these boots. They are super comfortable and keep my feet warm and dry while I'm tromping through snow. I ordered a half-size larger than normal to account for thick socks and they fit really well. I got Boulder, which is a lovely shade but I don't think the Zappos picture quite captures it. The Merrell website has a picture that is a little more accurate. Overall- great, functional boot. I'd order these again.

This is a gorgeous boot, but it is very narrow. I know Merrell is narrow, I should have learned my lesson by now. I don't have a wide foot, but I really had to squish my foot down to even fit my heel in the shoe. The shaft was about an inch away from zipping closed (but my calves are on the wider side). Can't believe the previous reviewer said these boots would be good for wider calves! Definitely slim fit.

Love these boots. I have a wide calf so I was concerned that these would not be wide enough. At first I totally unbuckled the buckle and could zip almost to the top. Now they have stretched a bit and I can get them all the way up. Comfortable for wearing all day.

Ridiculously comfortable! I am a 4 in. high heel kind of girl, for the most part, but was humbled by a fall at the grocery store. I have a young son now and was faced with the fact that I needed some sensible snow boots but I wasn't going to go down in fashion flat-foot hell. I went for the Merrell Martina because of style alone. What totally surprised me was that I would enjoy a boot because it was comfortable too. Even on days it doesn't snow I'm finding myself wearing my Merrell's...who knew? I've shocked my friends and family. I highly recommend the boot for comfort, safety, and most importantly, style.

I love the look of these boots in the picture and video, but in person, I found they fit more sleek and fitted than I wanted. To me, the picture makes them look chunky, rugged, full/round in the area at the top of the foot. But on the foot, they fit very close, like a sock, really. I just didn't like the appearance in person. I also question whether that woolly part at the top would get worn, pilled and ugly in a season -- at this price, I want them to stick around for a while. They were comfortable, no complaints, just wasn't as it appeared to me online. I think in the video the model is probably a size 8 or smaller and she's wearing a size 10 boot, so it appears to have more volume in the shoe than it does in your real size. If you order your true size, they will fit exactly, maybe only room for a pair of tights or trouser socks.

I am so bummed - I have size 8 Merrell boots that fit perfectly; however, these boots were way too small in a size 8! Very narrow and tight!

I have been searching the perfect black boot all season and this is it! If you are looking for a cute, comfortable, warm, waterproof shoe that goes with pants, skirts and tights you have to try out this boot. I ordered these last minute for a trip to the snow and they were a little tight out of the box, but after a few days of breaking in they were fabulous. I went hiking up a mountain, walked through snow drifts, wore them with tights and skirts out to dinner....you name it these shoes did it all and kept my feet warm. I normally wear an 8 and went up to an 8.5 and the fit is great with normal socks. If you want to wear thick socks maybe goes up a full size. Great job Merrell and Zappos!
