My son, who is 7, loves these shoes! He wants to wear them every day! Because you wear them without socks they can get a little stinky. I'm going to purchase another pair so they have time to air out before he wears them again. He will not wear any other shoes to school now. These shoes are supposed to mimic being barefoot. I guess that's why he loves them so much!

These shoes are great for my six year old. He goes barefoot as much as he can, and these are his shoes for school. The heel of the shoe did rub his heel at first, but I just had him wear socks for a few days and then after that he could wear them without socks, no problem. A great pair of minimalist shoes for kids.

Great, comfortable shoes! The only suggestion Is that wearing long socks is best for the first few weeks, both of my sons have a pair each and the younger one got the blisters. They are easy to put on and stay on all day. We would purchase them again!

I think it is crazy to pay so much for a kids shoe. After repeated suggestions from my sons OT (has sensory issues) I bought these. My son immediately was comfortable and running with these shoes. These are much easier to get on then the fingered barefoot shoes. These are great for my boy with special needs, they do the job yet he still looks cool. I just wish they were more affordable. Any parent with special needs kids is broke so this amount was a huge hit. But, you do whatever it takes to get your kid healthy and happy. Merrell, you should make toddler sizes these would be great for toddlers with autism and SPD. Moms have a hard time find shoes that these kids will wear.

Perfect shoes for my Special Needs 10 yr old! Aside from the great look and the quality construction, he doesn't have to fight with tying laces. Nice minimalist feel with good soles for outside wear. He thinks they are cool. I recommend these shoes for kids with motor planning deficits; easy on and off. OK if they are a little big in the toe box... that is how they are supposed to fit. Great for his narrow heel (like mine; I love this brand).

I run dogs in agility and the new trend has been the barefoot shoe. I have knee problems and noticed this summer if I actually ran barefoot, my knee felt better so the barefoot shoe was my next option. Chose the boys Trail Glove due to the price difference. Fits wonderfully and the cheddar color is so pretty. I've run two trials so far and the difference in my knee is amazing... no swelling or pain. Had a few aches and pains in the front of my legs and feet but that's to be expected when switching to these shoes. Very happy with the shoes and Zappos service!

What a great shoe. My 7 year old boy loves them. They go with every outfit very nicely. They're so comfy and light. We'll be getting another pair when these no longer fit. They're very sturdy.

My 8 year old is picky when it comes to his shoes. He has been living in his Crocs for so long that I was afraid that we may never find something else comfortable enough for him, but he loved these Merrell very much. These were a good size larger but he was happily wearing them with a pair of socks and they hugged his feet and stayed on. I bought one size smaller for him but worried that smaller might mean tighter fit. He loved them as well without any complaints. He has been wearing them for a while now, his dad also got a pair (the adult version) and loved them, too.

These shoes are fabulous. Not only do they offer all the benefits of a barefoot Vibram sole, but they're also wide enough for real human feet. A couple of years ago, I had my son going out in public in slippers because I couldn't find any shoes minimalist enough that I felt they would allow his foot to grow and develop natural movement and musculature. Now, thanks to Merrell and a few other great brands out there, my son looks stylish (or at least normal), and his foot is in no way impeded by the thick, stiff, structured mode of most kids' shoes. Do a little research. Arch support is bad for new feet. This is like a modern moccasin!

We just ordered this shoe for our son and was disappointed to find that it runs quite large. While the toebox is nice and spacious, there is no doubt it runs at least a 1/2, but maybe a full size large. We will reorder a size smaller for him.

My son loves these shoes. This is his second pair and only because he outgrew the first. He wore them all summer last year and they were still going strong when they got too small. He begged for a new pair for this summer. He is a 1.5 and the 2 was too big. We exchanged for a 1 and it fits perfectly.

My kids beg to wear these shoes. They are easy to get on and go. They love that they do not have to wear socks (no blisters!) and I love the anti-microbial element that prevents stinky feet. My kids have average to wide feet and have plenty of toe wiggling room. These shoes look cool on and their minimalist profile goes well with narrow leg pants and shorts. My daughter has a pair of girl's shoes in this style and they are cute with her skirts, too. Fantastic shoes, Merrell never disappoints. They do run about half a size large.

My seven year old triathlete loves them! My son normally runs in Vibram Five Fingers, but those are a little too slow to put on when racing Triathlons (Swim, bike and run). So, we found these barefoot alternatives that are super fast to put on, very comfortable, great for those who are used to bare feet or minimalist shoes. I am pleased with their durability, traction, looks, etc. I have no complaints, nor does my son. He would prefer to wear them over all his other shoes, except the Five Fingers. He loves them and best of all, they are excellent for not causing foot damage like regular running shoes.

We love the barefoot for our kids. My husband has all barefoot shoes, but when he asked me to spend $60 on our son's shoes, I was hesitant. But, they fit so well and are so much less clunky than regular tennis shoes. My son loves them. His size was 1 or 2 sizes smaller than with typical tennis shoes (he wears a 1 or 2 with regular shoes, but a 13 in barefoot). Just an FYI..
