Super cute, but they just will not fit my calves (my calves are about medium size). I can only put leggings in them and leggings are not going to cut it for the snow. If you order them they are true to size but if you want to wear wool socks I would go a half size up. I had ordered the brown with the tan fur and they are beautiful! Sadly I will be sending them back because the upper shaft is too tight, but Zappos had awesome service and I received them overnight!

These are adorable! the shoe part needs no breaking in. i usually order 1/2 size up for boots to accommodate the sock and that was perfect--however, the heel is very wide so a thick sock works best. only one downside--the boot calf measurement is 13 inch and my calf is 12 inches. they fit over leggings, but the elastic at the top is so tight, so if your calf is over 12 inches, I wouldn't order. I am going to go into the seam and release the elastic and then they'll be fine. for that reason only, I had to give it a 3 rating for comfort. I've gotten numerous compliments in only one day of wearing. I love these!

I felt these fit true to size. I usually wear a 7 1/2 and these were perfect. A very nice boot that looks great. The calf width is a little narrow as someone mentioned but fit me fine as I have thin calves. Have not worn them in!

I am really disappointed that I hadn't heeded the advice from other reviewers. The boots are very cute. I wished if they would've worked. As others had commented, they are much tighter around calf than product specs. If I could shave off some fat from my calves, I would - just to shove them into the boots!

I love these boots! They are warm, comfy, and really awesome looking. They are also very lightweight like wearing sneakers, and are well-made. Good job, Merrell. I love your shoes!

I got these in the ivory/brown color. They are so cute!! The faux fur is very soft. They are just too tight around the top. My calves are pretty thin to average. They would've been fine with tights but I was looking for a boot with more versatility. My foot is slightly wide and these were very comfortable. They had nice padding and felt like wearing slippers.

I purchased these boots for a trip to Jackson, WY. They are a little difficult to get on since there is no zipper opening, however, once on they are very comfortable. There was no "breaking-in" needed. My feet stayed warm and cozy.

These boots are definitely warm. I had them delivered to work, and as I walked around the office getting opinions, my feet were heating up...definitely an outdoor cold-weather only boot. The girls in the office loved them. They are cute, and I would have given 5 stars except that, as other reviews mention, the cinched top is too tight, and I will have to cut the inner elastic...one should not have to do that at this price point. These boots will still stay -- we may be experiencing the mildest winter in 100 years in Buffalo, but the snow is coming...and when it does, it will be no match for these warm boots!

I spent months investigating boots for a trip to Park City. I desperately wanted Sorels, but continually found a, the sizing way off (too big), and b, the bulk of any style too clumsy. these, however, are amazing lightweight, warm, comfortable, easy to get and and off. I can't say enough good things about them. Love love love them. Totally waterproof. Gorgeous boots.

This is a very comfortable and warm shoe. I wore it to a ski trip in Switzerland and we walked in the snow a lot and it kept me warm and it is very light and comfy. Like other reviews said, it feels like a sneaker. Really recommend this shoe! Very happy customer!
