Shoes were exactly as described and in perfect condition. The Intercept is extremely comfortable and has great arch support.

My husband loves these shoes. They are outdoorsy yet stylish. The quality is excellent.

Fit was true and broke in quickly on nightly walk of a mile or two the first week. Then trekked with good support and comfort throughout GmbH for over a week. In the hills, on the trail in the city...miles and miles without complaint. Great purchase.

I have recently purchsed some shoes from Zappos website. I am very pleased with the product itself and the customer service they provide. Also I am in Iraq and the fast shipping they provide is great. Plus, the confidence of returning a product if it's wrong, once again shows the customer service commitment. I will do it again. Not one to really care about exactly what I put on my feet'; I usually go with whatever's in the local shoe store. Lately I have had to return to a profession that is hard on the feet. (Retail at one of those Home Improvement Warehouses, not the orange one.) We haul tail around the concrete floors for our customers resulting in some pretty sore feet. There is this one guy that just cruises through the day, every day. He is a little older than myself, not that means too much these days, but still.... One day while in the breakroom I asked him his secret. After going over all the twigs and berries, the multiple positions he finds himself every morning before dawn, the modern aspects of his hippie lifestyle, he finally got around to footwear. Merrells are all he wore, he also told me about the new shoe he heard was coming out; had a big "M" on it. Told me I might be able to find them on Zappos.com. The Intercept, with the "M". And sure enough, the right price at Zappos.com. (Sound like a commercial, huh?) When they came in, I can remember thinking, "There is no way something as light as these are going to be comfortable."I was so wrong! I cruise now through the work day and on into the evening. Light, breathable, durable. I read the other reviews, both positive and negative. Believe in the positive! I can only guess that these nay-sayers had not had their weekly pedicure for troll-like feet, or just had a bad day. Jack, you rock ! Zappos.com, you guys rock! Merrell, an awesome shoe! Yeah: You guys rock!

Sizing wrong - I am, and have always been a size 11.5. This is the only shoe I've ever had where my toes are touching the end of the shoe! Plus it has some strange manufacturing defect that makes them look like old man slippers b/c the sides of the shoe are so overstuffed that they look ridiculous to me. I would return these if I had realized in time.

Really happy with the look, fit and comfort. Nice all around shoe. The mesh material on the sides are a little easy to snag and rip. (It's a soft material) After a month the mesh has started to slightly come apart at the seams. I'm extremely rough on shoes though. If you keep it simple these are a solid choice for the price.

Magnificent Merrell - I've been wearing Merrells for a few years now and I'll typically fit right with a 7.5, but lately, I can't get into anything unless it's a 8.5. Are my feet still growing? Has Merrell changed the template of their sizing? Regardless, this shoe is extremely comfortable, supporting the foot in just the right points and places needed for comfort and performance. I've only had them for a few days, but break in was a non-issue. Aggressive tread is excellent for handling any terrain. Styling and design is very cool - shoes that make people look down at you. Highly recommended for summer activities and chillin' out.

I really wanted to like this shoe. I have other Merrells and like the brand. I’m looking for some light weight, but sturdy hiking and walking shoes and these looked perfect in the photo. Unfortunately they just don’t fit. For starters, I had to re-order a full size larger, but even after getting those (quickly thanks to Zappos’ great service), I found them too narrow at the toes and the arch support uncomfortably high. Very out of character for the other Merrell shoes I have. Still like Merrell and I’m trying other styles, but this shoe is limited to those it will fit… and that isn’t me.
