Very comfortable. I like the removable insert, since I should be able to wash it if it gets smelly. I expected the trip to be grey, but it is taupe.

I saw these shoes in black on an acquaintance and they looked so good I bought a pair online (but grey). They are exactly as they look in the picture, and extremely comfortable. Plenty of toe room and adjustable strap. Good with socks or without. A good go-to shoe for daily wear. I don\'t love the pattern on the shoe, but I do love the fact that they are grey.

These are great little kicks. They instantly replaced some uncomfortable J-41s, which are now in the to-go pile. Comfortable out of the box if not a little light on support; one could change this with a different insole perhaps; however, it's nice to have the option. Got it in the brown/purple combo. Nice!

Love these little shoes. I say little because they make my size 11 feet feel cute in the Mary Jane style Merrills. They are so comfortable I am forsaking all of my other fall shoes for these. Bought them specifically for a trip but find myself wearing them all the time. I love Merrills in general tho so it is not a surprise.

I am very happy with these shoes, very comfortable, cute. I wear orthotics and they fit nicely in these shoes. I used to wear Keens, but these are much lighter and I like these more.

Great traction for walking. Strap nice and long so very adjustable for days when feet swell, or when one does and the other doesn't. Sometimes the complimentary color seems gray, sometimes dark taupe; suede nice rich black color. The sole is slowly taking form of my feet. I could have used more arch support. I've received compliments for these shoes. Use them for work where I stand a lot. Great quality.

These are great, really comfortable shoes. Having never tried Merrell shoes before, but hearing great things, I'm impressed. I've worn them around the house for over a week, and I love them! With socks, without socks, these are cute and so cushiony. Feel like your favorite slippers. The black ones have an olive/taupe color which I think makes them even more versatile. Thanks so much for all the other helpful reviews! I haven't noticed my feet getting hot in these, by the way.

This is my second pair in this model; they are really great. I liked the first pair in a different color so much I got these 2 days later. They run a little big, which is perfect for me since I'm a generous 11, more like a 43 in European sizes than a 42, so disappointing to get a shoe that runs small and be maxed out because I can't get the next size. The traction and arch support are good for me, and these shoes look good with pretty much everything I'd wear. Yay!

These are wonderful shoes! I own 4 pair now and am buying more in other colors as I can afford them. They are very comfortable, can be worn all day, I can walk miles in them, and they are true to size, in my opinion. In addition, it goes without saying that Zappos, you are the best!

I ordered these shoes in Canteen Print, and I absolutely love them. I am a size 6 in everything, and they fit perfectly, as I knew they would. After all, they are Merrells, my very favorite brand. Merrell shoes are comfortable the minute I put them on, and they are all so cute!

Comfortable, cute shoe. Slightly larger than my other shoes of the same size. If you like shoes that are wider at the toes, you will be comfortable with this style.

As other reviewers have said, this shoe runs large. I normally wear a size 7, but the 6.5 fit me (in fact it was slightly large for my left foot, which is slightly smaller than my right.) The shoe is extremely comfortable on the bottom of my foot but the back digs in to the back of my heel (actually the bottom of my leg)and caused the skin to tear. I guess I need to try to use moleskin on the shoe, as another reviewer did. Also, as other reviewers said, the shoe does not breath well and requires wearing socks or peds with it.

I love these shoes. I bought them to wear in Spain/Portugal. They work with skirts, jeans, slacks, and shorts. They were so comfortable and have a great tread on the bottom. I had no problems traversing slippery rock climbs or walking on wet marble. I have great trouble with my feet and am thrilled with the support and comfort of these shoes. I would definitely recommend them.\r\n\r\n

Bought these last minute for a trip to Europe. Walked an untold number of miles and my feet felt great! I have wide feet and these were perfect. The adjustable strap helped with that. They do seem to be a tad warm (not so much that I wouldn\'t recommend them) but overall a great shoe.

Great for orthotics! I have a very hard time finding shoes that work with my orthotics and fit my oddly-shaped feet (hammertoes, super high instep/arch, and heels so narrow they fall out of any shoe that fits my forefoot!). When I remove the insole of these shoes, there is plenty of room for my orthotics. The toebox is also very roomy and doesn't squish my toes at all. I can lengthen the adjustable strap to fit over my high insteps, and the strap holds my narrow heel in the shoe. The rubber sole is very flexible under the forefoot and bends easily with my foot, yet there is still some support through the arch. I normally only wear these with my orthotics. The included insole is too squishy and does not provide near enough support for my high arches; however, if you have a more normal arch or prefer very cushioned shoes, then you may like the included insole. I also always wear these with thin socks so I can't comment on how they'd feel with bare feet. Now I just wish they came in more colors that I like! I love the brown (which is more of a plummy brown than most brown shoes, with subtle purple trim), but wish they came in a solid black. Brown is the only color I own, but in Zappos' pictures it appears that one black style has olive suede trim while the other has a printed pattern.

Ok - I own ones that are similar to this (I think they were the Relays. They have mesh instead of full coverage). I loved mine for vacation as well as on cobblestone streets. They are so comfortable – I’m looking for a new pair. The biggest problem I’ve had with my shoes is that THEY STUNK UP MY FEET! After a year of owning them and even with the anti-microbial sole, my feet are so disgusting when they come out of these. I don’t wear socks, but I shouldn’t have to... And these new styles actually look a bit un-stylish. I liked the mesh better. I got mine in a tan color which was neutral. I’m trying to avoid looking like I’m wearing orthopedics here...

The perfect commuting shoe! Super comfy; can walk miles across the bricks/cobblestones here in Boston. Also nice because you can wear them with a suit/hose and they don't snag anywhere. This was my second pair of them; first time in the burgundy, second time in the green. You can't go wrong!
