It is so disappointing to find that everything about a shoe seems suitable (at last), only to find that it pulls my socks down around my heels.

I initially loved this shoe. Fit great, looked great, etc. Then after about a month and half, an inner seam on the right heal started pushing through; this made the shoe unwearable because of the pain. Unacceptable for this price. Zappos was awesome and allowed me to return/exchange the pair.

The granite colored shoe is more of a strange green color than black as it looks in the pictures.

Amazing shoes! I think I had these on for about 15 minutes before they felt completely "broke in". Immediate comfort when hiking/walking the bluffs of the Missouri River the first afternoon. I probably have 60 miles on these shoes already and absolutely love them. At 6'4" and 245 lbs, my body requires good support and these shoes provide it. The lacing system is superb as I like my shoes 'loose' until I need them secure for activities, and these are the perfect choice for that. Highly recommended!

On the recommendation of a friend I ordered a pair of Merrells. I ordered them a half size too small. Zappos had the correct size delivered the next day. Wow. What a difference. They fit and felt great right out of the box. No break-in. I didn't know shoes could be this comfortable. At the age of 56 I almost forgot what it was like to work a full day on my feet and not feel sore. After 4 weeks of wet and dry work conditions the shoes still look and feel new. As a result, my wife now has a pair of Merrells that she loves and I am getting another pair for casual wear.

Excellent shoes...much better than my Stretch 3's which felt clunky and started falling apart. These are similar to my old, beloved Stretch 2's...I wish I would've bought 5 pair when I had the chance.
