I bought these for my 17 year old son, who is autistic and cannot tie shoelaces. The elastic lacing system works as I had hoped it would. He can get the shoes on and off himself without difficulty. He seems to like them, too. I wish it was easier to find shoes with elastic laces on this site - the photographs of all of your shoes have the laces tucked in and it is difficult to distinguish those with elastic from regular laces. I spent hours looking at shoes and simply could not tell which ones had elastic laces or not. People with disabilities, particularly younger ones, want stylish, comfortable shoes just like everyone else. I only found these shoes because I saw them in a local running store, which did not carry the right size or I would have bought them there. So my rating for these shoes is five stars. However I cannot rate Zappos' search function so highly.

I am a landscape professional and have been wearing this shoe for 10 years as a work boot. I love the slip on capability, rugged durability and light weight breathability. I go through two pair a year and would not wear anything else.

These shoes are absolutely great! After reading other Merrell Reviews many recommended ordering half a size bigger. I called Zappos and confirmed this before ordering. They are rugged and I like the soles.

My 2nd pair of Merrell's, these fit true to my size 7.5 and are comfortable with a firmer sole than the barefooters which I returned in favor of these. The elastic high back was noticeable at first but after the 2nd or third time wearing was unnoticeable. These breathe well and aren't waterproof so be aware.

Bought them and wore them on a trip immediately. No problem. All purpose, durable and the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. Im going to buy another pair and throw everything else out.

I bought these shoes looking for a better shoe for disc golf. I have had trail shoes from Nike and the outdoors lasted about 2 months. I then looked into getting a pair of Keens but their customer service was horrible and treated me horrible when I asked if a few shoes would ever be made in a size 15. Then I went to my choice of Merrell. They had a Vibram outsole which is what I was really looking for. All I had to do to the shoes is put some tough toe on my left shoe and these things were golden. I really wish they would have come with toe protection but whatever. Not having to tie your shoes is something I was kinda worried about but after using these shoes for about a month now it's like second nature. And the outsoles sterling as nails. U would never even know that I am really hard on shoes. Overall I love them and will from now on buy Merrell for all my disc golf needs.

On the recommendation of a friend I ordered a pair of Merrells. I ordered them a half size too small. Zappos had the correct size delivered the next day. Wow. What a difference. They fit and felt great right out of the box. No break-in. I didn't know shoes could be this comfortable. At the age of 56 I almost forgot what it was like to work a full day on my feet and not feel sore. After 4 weeks of wet and dry work conditions the shoes still look and feel new. As a result, my wife now has a pair of Merrells that she loves and I am getting another pair for casual wear.

Six stars. I wish I could give theses shoe 6 stars or maybe 10! I normally wear size 16, I have flat feet (and I mean flat feet) and not a low arch. Day 1 was extremely tight, almost to the point of uncomfortable, but I had read some other reviews saying that they were tight at first, so I toughed it out. I'm glad I did because by the end of the day I couldn't even tell I was wearing shoes. 15 s fit me just fine and the arch support is outstanding. I normally have to wear after-market, expensive orthotics; with these there is no need. Rides like a boot but is as light as a sandal and feels like you're only wearing socks. These shoes are absolutely epic. I will recommend these to my friends, I will buy Merrells in the future, and I will continue buying shoes from Zappos.

Amazing shoes! I think I had these on for about 15 minutes before they felt completely "broke in". Immediate comfort when hiking/walking the bluffs of the Missouri River the first afternoon. I probably have 60 miles on these shoes already and absolutely love them. At 6'4" and 245 lbs, my body requires good support and these shoes provide it. The lacing system is superb as I like my shoes 'loose' until I need them secure for activities, and these are the perfect choice for that. Highly recommended!

Wonderful shoe- a little clunky in looks compared to the Chameleon 2. It fits better than the Chameleon 3. I use this for trail walking and general use. It's comfortable, supportive without looking like an old man shoe, and easy to wear.

I'm on my feet all day working at a medical facility and after wearing these shoes for a couple of weeks, I find that they are very comfortable. Putting on the shoe is similar to putting on a glove. Some people may find it a little difficult to slip their feet into the shoe because the size of the opening is somewhat fixed, but once it is on, it feels good. The fit is not tight. It is true to size. It also looks great. I've received compliments about the look/style. I love the fact that you don't have to tie shoelaces. You simply pull on the plastic tab to tighten the laces and tuck under the laces. That's it. I highly recommend this shoe.

I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with these shoes! I've owned them now for over a month and wear them daily for at least 8 hrs at work where I walk 3-4 miles per day. Very comfortable, they breathe amazingly. I'll buy these again in a heartbeat!

I am reviewing these for my husband who has worn out two previous styles of the Chameleon stretch, likely the first and second models. I am returning these because they fit like tennis shoes, not like previous Merrell Chameleons. The Chameleon 3 is closer to what he had (like climbing shoes), but still not quite as flexible. Nevertheless, he has ordered a second pair of the 3's to put back for when his newly purchased pair wears out! Thanks for the great service, Zappos.

Well, this is the first day I've had these on but they feel great and this isn't my first rodeo with Merrells. This is probably my 4th or 5th pair of Merrells and I love the Stretch series style! No more tying shoe laces! Just slip on, slip off! I HIGHLY recommend any style of Merrells and I HIGHLY recommend using Zappos.com to buy them! They ship extremely fast, too! I ordered them Sunday, New Years Eve, and they were at my door Tuesday afternoon! Great shoes and great Web site to purchase from!!!
