This shoe is so comfortable if you just stand and don't walk. Seriously, I really wanted these to work out. I wear a 9-1/2 and when I put the shoe on, it fit well. But there is elastic across the back of the shoe that keeps it from slipping (good), which pushes your foot forward enough when you walk that your toes hit the front of the shoe (bad). I thought about exchanging for the next size up, but I'm afraid the elastic back is going to do the same thing. So if you decide to try these shoes, order your real size and the next size up to compare. Good luck! If you can get them to work for you, your feet will be very comfortable!

I really hesitated getting these shoes due to the review about the elastic pushing your foot forward, but I m so glad that I gave them a try. They are awesome, as soon as I put them on and walked around they were comfortable. I left them on for several hours and that opinion never changed. The upper part of the shoe is so soft and flexible there is no breaking in needed and if you having been wearing the Merrell Barefoot, you will not be disappointed with these Barefoot shoes. The color I got was black and I plan on getting the shoes in the other colors as well.

I wanted to love these but ultimately did not. They are super cute and when I first slipped them on my feet, they fit extremely well, true to size. However, once I started walking around... nope. They felt perfect in every way except that they rubbed like crazy because of the mesh piece connecting the vamp to the side of the shoe. The mesh itself was fine, but the stitching that connected the mesh to the leather had sharp edges that rubbed like crazy. I admittedly have very sensitive skin, but in a manner of minutes the sharp bits had left noticeable red marks on my skin. So alas, these were returned and replaced with the Zest Glove (also from Merrell's barefoot line), which are similarly looking but do not have the mesh bit and therefore do not chafe.

One of the most comfy shoes I own - I have 3 colors. My only wish is that they had other fabric/leather choices. In the northwest, I won't be able to wear these when it's drizzly. I'm a glove fan through and through.
