I'm liking these Road Glove 2s a lot. I've run in a lot of different minimalist shoes, including several New Balance models and the original Saucony Hattoris, and these are one of my favorites so far. Definitely prefer them to the NB MR00s. They're light, wide, grippy (even in heavy rain), smooth ride, and super comfortable from the first wear. They do come up big - I ended up going down half a size from what I usually wear in New Balance or even the Merrell Sonic Gloves. There is a bit of a bump in the arch which has given me a hot-spot on longer runs, but it's not too annoying. Finally, the green is much brighter than it appears in the Zappos picture, which is a good thing! Highly recommend these for runners used to zero drop, minimally cushioned shoes.

I finally, after four pairs of Trail Gloves, decided to try these since I walk streets all the time. I kept burning heel holes through even my socks (actual holes in the sole), with the Trail Gloves from walking down streets. My last (and fourth pair) lasted a whole 1½ months before holes appeared. I am hoping that these shoes, since they are Road Gloves, will last way longer! Someone commented in the review about arch support. It is barely or not even actually noticeable! Actually these feel exactly like the Trail Gloves, but (this is my first day mind you) they feel even better. Much lighter. And they breath. My feet are not sweaty just wearing them all say like the Trail Gloves. I feel more free and more barefoot. They are easier to tie. They feel just light and great like an upgrade. So hopefully the heels will not get holes in them! I cannot speculate but if you are walking on a lot of streets I would get these, however, like I said I have no idea how the road Vibram sole holds up.

Love these shoes! These are my first pair of Merrells and certainly will not be the last. These shoes were also my first experience with a "barefoot" shoe. I went with the Merrell for the wide toe box and was not disappointed. I wear these now daily to crossfit in!

This is a great shoe if you are looking for a minimal running shoe, like all of the Merrell barefoot line. Although this shoe is called the road glove, I would say it is equally suited to trails also. While this shoe has similar specs to the Merrell trail glove (both have 4mm midsole padding and this one has 7mm outsole vs 6mm on the trail glove), it has a very different feel to it. The outsole is much stiffer and has less flexibility, especially lateral flexibility. Depending on your preferences and running style that could be a good or bad thing. Personally I prefer the more flexible feel of the trail glove. I never ran in the original road glove but I've heard it was slightly less stiff than this new model is. For the trail glove I find it is the other way around, with the new version being slightly more flexible than the original.

The arch is too high for my foot. I ran once in these shoes, and it was alright. But now, any time I try running in them again or even just walking, I get a needle-like pain in the arch of my foot. Gonna try to find some other minimalist should with no arch support.
