Thank you, Merrell! You finally did it. I have been running in the bare arc access version one shoes for years! After running low only stock piled shoes I was forced to look for another! This is what I have been asking for! A full vibram bottom, mesh upper that doesn't feel to plasticky or rigid, and last but not least a wide toe box! The same great cushioning that I'm used to in a zero drop shoe, and just in time for my second half of training for a 50k! Love these shoes! Just wish there were more color combos!

Very disappointed with Merrell barefoot. Have run in a pair of trail gloves for about 3 years and I love them. Perfect fit. Was looking for a barefoot shoe with more cushioning for longer distances/road running. The 8 was too small - good fit around the foot, but too short on the toe - and the 8.5 was the right length, but my heel came out of it because it was too large on the back of the foot. I had the same problem with another pair of Merrell barefoot shoes I ordered about a year ago. A third pair of barefoot shoes I recently purchased - the Road Glove Dash 3s - are unwearable. I've run in them several times and something about the way the shoe is structured causes bruising and soreness to the outside of my foot. Will now have to try out other brands for barefoot running shoes. Merrell, please go back to your old sizing and quality!

These shoes have a really strange fit to them. After first putting them on, they felt fine and lightweight, but attempting to run in them was another story. While I usually have issues with shoes being more narrow than wide, these were too wide. The toe box, especially, is exceptionally square, almost like clown shoes. Because of this, they felt larger, though if I sized down, I don't think it would've solved the issue of the abnormally spacious toe box (not a positive in this case). In all honesty, I'm not sure many will find it a good fit. The side ankle cutouts are too low, too, feeling as if my foot could slip out at a moment's notice. Had a pair of Saucony Virrata 2s that are a 0mm drop as well, but felt the transition to the Merrells was more noticeable/jarring. Had high hopes for the Bare Access Ultras after being happy with and putting many miles on the Mix Master Glides that I've been running in for 2+ years now. It could've been the ill fit, but overall these shoes were a big flop for me.

This is my daughter's 2nd pair. She loves them and the color was perfect. Comfortable fit and overall great shoe. I noted no arch support but that is what the shoe is supposed to be!

Best shoe ever! I wear these on the treadmill (4 miles daily at 4.0) and to walk in when traveling. They are much more comfortable than any other shoe I've ever owned. I have small feet (size 6) and the wide toe box is heavenly. Plus they are so cute & weigh next to nothing! I'm buying them in all the colors available.

I'd also recommend: nothing else compares
