I love this shoe! I have worn Mephisto Helen for years and decided to try a different style. I was not disappointed. This is a great sandal! One word of caution. I was expecting a white-white and the shoe is more of a grayish-white. Still, I'm very happy with the shoe.

Love these sandals! They look a lot like the Jack Rogers sandals, a favorite of Jackie Kennedy. Based on other reviews, I ordered a size larger and had to return them -- too big. I ordered my regular size and they fit fine. Very comfortable and when I wear them, women stop and ask where I purchased them. Zappos of course!

These shoes are amazing! I have flat feet plus I recently knocked my knee cap out of place...and these shoes are a blessing! I can wear them all day long and my feet never hurt. Plus, they are so cute and I get lots of compliments! The price is a bit high, but I promise it is so worth it!

Perfect walking sandal - I was looking for the perfect walking sandal for my trip to Europe that would offer good support, yet look good. These are perfect. They have good arch support and after walking all day, I have no heel pain from plantar fasciitis that I often get from other sandals. Other reviewers complained that they had irritation at first from the area beneath the flower, but I did not experience this. The footbed felt a little stiff for the first few days, but now that they are worn in, they are very comfortable and I think they are better looking than a lot of other similar type sandals. Great choice!

Too, Too cute! This sandal is just way too cute and just perfect for the girl that wants comfort and style. It's an eye catcher and I've had lots of compliments when I wear it out. It's very comfortable, but it is a snug fit. There's no play in it which is good for lots of walking. I got the black and white pair and I just love them!

As usual, I was not disappointed by Mephisto! I LOVE these sandals. I have many pairs of Mephisto sandals. Very cute - received lots of compliments. I only gave 4 stars for comfort because my foot was hurting a little for a couple of days after wearing the shoes around the house for an hour or two. When I tried them on the next day it was a little bit better and the third day I was sold! As usual, ZAPPOS is terrific!!!

Mephisto Violette - I bought these shoes in black and red about four years ago and sadly parted with my black ones this spring, after they had been totally thrashed. I got more than my money's worth out of those shoes--they have excellent arch support and needed no break in time. They are also easy to dress up or down--they're the perfect shoes for a Hawaiian vacation. Unfortunately, the red ones stretched out too much shortly after I got them, but the black ones remained true to size. It's disappointing that they come only in black and white now--Mephisto used to make come in more colors, like green and orange, in addition to the red. I'd have ordered more pairs if more colors were available.

At first I wasn't sure, but they really are great! I bought these shoes a year ago while visiting my parents in FL. I brought them home and wore them and they were very painful at the top where the flower is sewn on and it caused a blister. I took them back to the Mephisto store and showed them the shoe and my foot and they professionally softened and stretched the leather for me until I felt more comfortable. They also told me to take a butter knife and rub it against the leather where it feels stiff to further soften it. I did and now they're great! I wear them all the time. They've molded to my foot and are THE most comfortable pair of shoes I own.

Love those Violettes! I have worn the Violette for many years and just keep ordering more from Zappos! I love the look and comfort. I wear a 37 (my US shoe size is 6 1/2). I read all the reviews and wanted to tell anyone that doesn't know that Mephisto's can be sent for refurbishment (strap tightening, new sole and footbed). Call them at 1-866-FIX-Sole for prices and info. They come back better than new. They will send you a free postage paid mailing bag. They really are the world's finest walking shoes!

I have owned the black Mephisto Violette sandals for over a year and they have held up well. I'm not too fond of the Birkenstock style of shoe, but the cute flower draws your attention away from the thick cork sole. I have worn them with jeans, shorts, skirts, and even to a club. I have very bad feet and my podiatrist recommended this brand to me. They are nearly as comfortable as my tennis shoes and orthotics, which is saying a lot. My only complaint is I wish the leather hadn't stretched out so much that it feels like the sandals are going to fall off if I am walking fast. These are great sandals for you if you have bad feet like me.

Love these shoes, but it does take a little time for them to feel comfy. But I own 3 pairs of Mephisto and they’re great once there broken in. Costly but my feet are worth it!!
