My husband loved his first pair of Mephisto Shark's but had walked through the soles after 5+ years of wearing them. For his birthday, I wanted to find the perfect gift and thought this was a good time to get a new pair and thankfully I was right! He couldn't say enough about the new iteration of the shoe and has worn them as many days as he could since. The only downside of the product is the price which is pretty prohibitive for many folks.

Excellent sandal, I purchased a brand name but less expensive sandal that did not have the padding and comfort of the Shark. Zappos handled the return immediately and shipped the Shark's overnight. I wish all my online shopping experiences were as positive as this one was.

The Sharks are the most comfortable things I have ever had on my feet. Last year I replaced my original Mephistos with a cheaper brand. What a mistake! I am happily back in the fold. Zappos was a pleasure to do business with. I ordered Wednesday and got the Sharks Thursday.

These are more comfortable than Birkenstock Milanos, and don’t look too much worse. They offer great stability, decent arch support, and can take some abuse, although they are not hiking boots and should probably not be treated harshly repeatedly. I might not wear them to an outdoor wedding again, but they look nice enough for any other place you would feel comfortable wearing Birks.

I like these Mephisto Shark sandals; but I have only had them a few days. They appear well made. They are not super cushioned; but they are comfortable. I have walked a lot in my sandals comfortably already. I bought them a size larger than my dress shoe size and they fit perfect. I do normally wear a narrow size too and the medium width fit fine. I chose these sandals based in part of the reviews and the fact that they have cork and latex materials in the foot bed under the suede. I also have Josef Seibel clogs and had Seibel sandals in the past which I liked a lot too. I think that the foot bed will form to my foot shape in time; thus making it even more comfortable. I like the velcro straps and buttons. I have high arches; but I don't remember how the arch was in these sandals.

My husband has neuropathy and vascular problems in his feet and is in constant pain, we have tried many shoes. I read about Mephisto and after talking about it decided to give it a try. He just loves them. His foot is always hurting so getting a shoe that doesn't add to that, is hard. These shoes did not hurt or pinch right out of the box. He just loves them.

I purchase d the shark but had to return the shoes One foot is 91/2 the other is 81/2. I wish they came in half sizes. Great shoe but I had to buy a larger size and on the smaller foot the top strap cut into my shin. Other than that nice shoe but not for me. So be careful.

The absolute best, sturdiest, comfortable and heat retardant shoe money can buy. Second pair for the streets of Greece, Italy, Bahamas, etc. This shoe is not replaceable.

This is my third Mephisto sandal, and I wouldn\'t wear anything else. The previous two pairs seemed to last around 3 years with a lot of use. I also own Mephisto walking shoes (Match) and hiking boots. Their products (except for the Allrounders) are excellent. The sandals fit perfectly and conform to my feet after wearing them for awhile. Zappos service is excellent and I will order all of my shoes from them from now on.

Just ordered the second pair of these sandals for my husband. His old pair are almost 5 yrs. old and since he loves them so much he even wore them during the colder months with socks, stretching them. He needed a new "barefoot" pair. Most comfortable sandals ever!...and well worth the price. And thanks Zappos for the great service.

Best sandals I have ever owned - I have owned these for over two years; I bought them when the shoe first came out. They still look almost new and I wear them all the time. Absolutely top-notch quality, amazing comfort. Mephisto makes the best sandals in the world.

Owner for 3 years - This is the best footwear I have ever had 3 years and I wear them every day winter with wool socks and summer barefoot. Worth every penny. I have a hip replacement and can walk blocks with these I even get them wet and no negative effect. Buy them; you will love them and you can even have them resoled.

Husband Loves these! Whenever I usually ask my husband to try on something I bought for him, if he likes it he says, "This will work". When he tried on these sandals however, His eyes lit up and said, "These are Niiice...." The adjustable straps are great since he has wide feet & high arches. Also, I bought his normal shoe size and they fit fine. Expensive, but worth it!
