It was helpful to know that these shoes run small. One size up was definitely what I needed. Petrea, for me, was instantly comfortable and needed no breaking in period. The style is wearable for casual and slightly dressy casual as well. I love these shoes and they will be the mainstay of my summer shoe wardrobe.

Gorgeous color, and the sandal looks good on the foot. However, the leather strap around the back of the ankle and the elastic in front of the ankle were both too snug and were non-adjustable. I don't think my ankles are unusally big, but the straps rode uncomfortably high (just under my ankle bone) and tight. It was uncomfortable to wear them, even for the few minutes that I tried the sandals on. So, despite the good looks and great color, they went back to Zappos.

Very very comfortable, actually to the point of making me feel more energetic, and one of the least frumpy of the black walking type sandals. Order a full size up. I vary between a 9.5 and a 10, but for this one I had to order the 11. It was only microscopically longer than the 10, but the strap spacing was much further apart - where it needed to be.
