Bravely loving my white Mephisto’s - I was hesitant to order a white shoe with a white footbed, but I am loving them. I make sure I have clean feet before wearing & so far the white footbed is staying white and does not ‘bleed’ onto my feet when they sweat. I’m sure over time it will darken but it looks much nicer with the white bed with the white patent upper. A wee less arch than the ‘Helen’ for some reason, but not enough to bother my ‘needy’ arches. The first time I wore them all day & my feet felt fine, no break in period with this one. I would highly recommend them. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 on comfort only because of the wee difference in the arch compared to the ‘Helen’. The ‘thong’ part is very comfortable, not irritating at all between my toes. I’m glad Mephisto is coming out with new styles as they seem to be the best shoe for my foot needs. Wish they weren't so expensive but they do last for years.

It's Everything I Wanted it to Be - This sandal is outstanding. It is the best of both worlds - comfortable and great looking. I'm always jealous of women in cute, little sandals or flip flops. Now I have an adorable, comfortable pair of shoes to wear all summer. You don't know what a comfortable shoe is until you've owned a pair of Mephistos!

Great arch supports! Having foot issues, I had to give up my "flip-flops" and this is very similar with great stability. Very much needed are the contoured sole and arch supports. So girls, throw away the "flops" and invest in a lifetime change for the better.
Brands I'd also recommend: Only buy Mephistos - money well spent!

Absolutely the BEST shoe ever made!!! I have owned at least 6 pairs of these wonderfully comfortable shoes. They are like walking on angel petals, the look is so chic, and the comfort better than ever!! Tennis people, this is your shoe! After a hard match, throw off those tennis shoes and put on your Hale's! Formally Hado's!

Love the style and color. I have a narrow foot, a high instep and high arches. I'm already on the tightest strap setting. The arch support was a little uncomfortable at first. I ordered 1 size larger as was recommended. Now I'm wondering if I should have ordered my regular size. They are still more comfortable than any of the many shoes I own.

Love these thongs! They are super cute and the piece between your toes is soft and easy to wear. I've never worn a Mephisto that wasn't really comfortable and these don't let you down. They have a similar look to the classic Birkenstock thongs but with the softly cushioned Mephisto footbed. awesome!

Fine looking shoe, but not true to size. It is decidedly a half size too small and a bit too narrow. Now, I've been wearing Mephisto's for years and was pleased to find their new Hake. The sizing isn't consistent with Helen sizing. Too bad!

This Mephisto feels cheap. Even adjusting the strap it gaps. The patent leather is stiff and doesn't mold to the foot. Even the footbed is stiff.

The footbed is great, but there are several problems with Mephisto Hale (especially compared to Helen), and especially in patent leather: (1) the patent leather sticks to your foot in the heat; (2) the between-toe thing is badly designed and rubs between the toes really bad; (3) the leather sticks up; (4) I have to kind of curl my toes to keep the shoe on when I walk. All of this might be better in the leather, I didn't try it.

I bought this shoe in Pink Fiesta, which is more of a purple than a pink -- very pretty! Alas, the 37 was a bit too small, the 38 was too big, and the thing between the toes was annoying. So both pair are being returned. For me the Mephisto Helen fits much better -- I think I'll see if I can order one in Pink Fiesta. As usual, awesome Zappos service especially the free shipping and no hassle returns!

Mephisto, Hale and Helen sandals have the best arch support, due to my neroropthy they are the only brand/style I can wear. Highly recommend because we all need the best support for our feet.

I love the ways these look and feel. They're a fun color. The patent leather is not quite as comfortable as the nubuck, but it is fine overall and probably will hold up better than the nubuck.

I put these sandals on and the fit was more perfect than the Helen but I wore them all day today and the pain where the thong is between the toes was unbearable. I limped a lot and couldn't wait to get them off. Sending them back. Too bad because the fit is better than the Helen.
