I really liked these boots. They made me feel a bit like Peter Pan, and I didn't want to take them off. In the end, I did return them, only because the shade of brown suede (my size) didn't work for me. The black is already gone in my size, or I would have ordered that. One caution...anyone with a high instep is likely to have a problem pulling these on. Otherwise, I think they're worth every penny for the fabulously-cushioned heel, and roomy toe box. There is also plenty of room at the top of the boot for most people to tuck in a pant leg.

I highly recommend these boots. I feel like I am wearing very well made slippers all day long. They are stylish and versatile and worn with a skirt or pants. I wish they were made in a dusty purple color because I'd add them to my collection.

I usually love Mephisto; have been wearing them for many years. These boots are very comfortable. But that is where it ends. For the price, the suede looks worn after only a month. Some of the black dye has actually come off. I have other boots that are suede and five years old that still look better and less worn.

This shoe is fabulous like the rest of Mephisto's shoes. This particular shoe fits like a glove and I can wear them all day without my feet hurting. They're so comfortable...just pricey. I bought mine in Brussels when I lived in Europe earlier this year. I bought black and now I want to buy the gray pair. I can't wait. I normally wear a 38 European size and the 7 1/2 fit absolutely perfect. I wear an 8 in US sizes.

Beautiful boot, but the zipper is problematic for me. It is a partial zipper, inserted at the ankle making the passageway very narrow. It's hard to get this boot on easily, and so I am returning it. Also, the slouchy part is sewn permanently into place. It can be worn as shown in the picture, or folded down over the foot.

I ordered these on December 30 and thanks to Zappo wore them on December 31. They are comfortable with plenty of toe room. They are a little narrow when worn with heavy socks, but will probably stretch over time, or I could wear thinner socks. These are typical mephisto, comfortable beyond words.

Disappointed since Mephistos usually fit my wide foot. Gorgeous. Too narrow for my high instep to enter into gathered shaft. Zipper doesn't open that area.

These boots are gorgeous. The foot bed is sleek and narrow which fits me well. They are super stylish and pricey so I hope they hold up well. They are super comfortable. The grey is a nice shade.

I love these boots. I have a really injured ankle and a lot of trouble finding shoes I can wear. I love these so much I bought them in both grey and red. The colors are gorgeous. I weather proofed them with a waterproofing spray and they look great and are holding up nicely (I've had them for a few months now). My feet run narrow and they it well.

I am normally a big fan of Mephisto. However, I have to return these boots. I have a bad ankle (due to a bad break many years ago) and cannot get my foot into these. The zipper only goes part way up the boot and I cannot bend my ankle to get them on. They are really nice looking and I feel badly I can't keep them. I cannot comment on their comfort or sizing since I couldn't get it on.
