Oh, at last MBT has got a stylish sandal! The band across the toes keeps them anchored so there isn't any problem with toes sliding around or the hurt in the big toe joint that I've had with some of MBT's sandals. I love the look of this sandal and it's handsome. Great Job, MBT!

Just what I wanted! I have several MBT sandals but none so attractive as the Pia. Comfort level is great and I'm glad to finally have an MBT sandal that isn't too sporty looking to wear with a summer dress. I have a medium width foot and a narrow heel and normally wear a size 8 in a sandal. I bought the Euro 39/US 8-8.5 and it fits just fine. I discovered MBTs a couple of years ago and do not wear anything else now. I'm 62 and have lower back and knee issues which always bothered me when walking for exercise or just trying to keep up with the rest of the family on an outing. MBTs solved all that plus they improved my posture and have really toned my legs and tush! I have 12 pairs of MBTs now, thanks to the sale prices at Zappos. If they are ever discontinued, I'm still set for life. By the way, there is a shoe store only a mile from me that sells MBTs and other "technical" shoes, but I still buy all mine from Zappos because of the lightning fast delivery and the free shipping both ways. Their customer service is world class. I'm a loyal customer and always write down their web address for anyone who admires my MBTs. Zappos rocks!
Brands I'd also recommend: no others compare!

If you're use to wearing the MBT walking shoe and you're walking a lot say at Disneyland and it's warm it's nice to have a great sandal that works like the shoe. However, I feel the price was high for a sandal, that's why I bought only one pair.

These sandals are worth the money! They are comfortable and take the pressure off my heels which hurt horribly otherwise. Not good for those with balance problems of any kind; and be careful on stairs til you are accustomed to the extremely different feel. Wish they came in other colors. These are the original brand for rocker bottom shoes; and I would not buy any other kind after trying on the others. Highly recommend these! Bonus: they are pretty cute. Enjoy them!

MBT shoes saved me from having surgery for Hagelund Syndrome on my left foot. These particular sandals are wonderfully comfortable and stylish enough to be a bit dressy. I have 6 pairs of MBT shoes-- they are the best.

These are the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. I now have MBT tennis shoes and clogs. I don't want to wear anything else. I can walk forever and it feels like I'm walking on air. My arches had fallen and my feet hurt all the time but no more. I love these shoes!

I knew I wanted another pair of MBT's and there are no good MBT selections around here so when I saw the sandals I knew those were the ones. The fit is great, and I love wearing them all the time. Zappos provided great service!

This shoe fits like a glove and is extremely comfortable especially considering that I have a bad case of plantars fasciitis. I wouldn't trade my MBTs for anything. And of course, Zappos provided customer excellence beyond expectations.

I bought these elsewhere (at Bliss spa's online site), and they are my second pair of MBTs, the first pair being a much older sandal. I have to say that, while I love the styling of the Pia, the rocker sole is a lot lighter, flimsier, and less supportive. I was hoping to get the same kind of support as from my old MBTs to help recover from a sports injury, but no such luck! These are going back, while I figure out what to do next.

A friend let me try her MBT2s on and I went on-line to order these. The European size (38) runs pretty true to my 7.5 USA size. These MBTs helped my knees in this city (Istanbul, Turkey) covered with marble cobblestones. They are stylish and sturdy. My feet are notoriously hard to fit, but this simple design manages to work around all of my blister-areas. Great arch support and well made. I was wary of this 'rolling sole' but it works well for wounded knees and even on the most uneven of cobblestone streets! And it looks pretty good too! The Zappos sales woman was so helpful in making sure I got the correct size. I will shop here again in a heartbeat.

I am a big fan of MBT's and have purchased two pairs of the original sandals for walking and exercise. I was hoping the Pia would be a more attractive alternative to the traditional sandal, but I was wrong about that. The shoes are much more stylish than I am used to from MBT. My only problem is that the ankle-oriented strap rubs the front of my leg. I hope MBT can make a modification to that particular feature.

I wear MBT shoes since a full year, meaning only MBT shoes. I am 73 years old. What I like the most at Zappos that you can order more than one size or model to try out at home what fits best. This pair Pia was one of three models I ordered, it is not so bulky as many other models, you can wear it even with skirts. I get compliments everywhere. Zappos is incredible!

This is my first pair of MBTs. I'm size 5-W, a size MBT doesn't make, but these have worked out well because they are so adjustable. I love them so much that I wanted to buy other MBTs but so far haven't found another style that fits. After years of babying my feet with nothing but Danskos and Sanita, my metatarsals still felt shocked at the end of the day. The MBT sandals have eliminated any sense of foot problems. Have been wearing them night and day for over a month, even with socks for hiking, which isn't appropriate for this style. Please, MBT, make a lace-up shoe for short, wide feet!

First off, I am a very biased Pia owner. These are my favorites, and I like them so much I bought them in both colors. My background: I suffered from plantar fasciitis in my right foot that led to a very pain heel spur for which I eventually had to get cortisone shot treatments. I'm still very careful with that foot, and I find that standing or walking for extended lengths on regular shoes can cause a flare-up. Thank goodness I finally learned about MBT shoes. The extra workout is a perk for me, but I find that the rocker bottom means no heel pain, and for this I am willing to pay for these spendy shoes (I've tried Skechers and they don't last more than few months for me). I must currently own close to a dozen pairs of MBTs, in all sorts of styles; some I like more than others, but there's none I like better than the MBT Pia. The MBT Pia is currently the most stylish of sandals by MBT. MBT has incorporated its more slender silhouette for this, so its profile doesn't give these sandals the weird curved-platform-shoes look. The front strap is plain and simple, with no unnecessary strapping or buckles. The two ends meet and stay together by Velcro, giving wearers a way to adjust for the foot widths. When you pry the flaps apart, though, there is an underlayer of elastic so you don't accidentally step out of the sandal's forefoot area should the flap ever come loose (which it shouldn't). The back straps are a simple ankle-strap design with an adjustable Velcro tab that completely comes loose and lets you step right out of the shoe without worrying about wiggling your foot out. The Velcro tab is not sewn to the end of the strap that goes over the foot, but instead is sewn to the side by your ankle. The tab then pulls through a metal D-ring; you then fold the tab back onto the ankle strap. This means the itchy part of the Velcro should never touch your skin, and you never have to worry about the tab slowly pulling off of the strap from being too taut. In addition, the very back of the strap has two very clever features: One is a finger loop that lets you hold your shoe in place while you unstrap the ankle strap. The other is a layer of extra cushioning sewn onto the top of the heel strap. This padding is soft and thick, and seems designed to minimize blisters. Altogether, this very simple-looking sandal has many excellent design features that make this not only attractive, but comfortable. If you're looking for a simple yet attractive pair of sandals from MBT, the Pia is the one to get.
