The MBTs I ordered from Zappos I have been wearing for years, I love them, they really help if you have foot or ankle pain. My foot pain is nil when I wear my MBTs; same for my husband with his ankle pain, we are both in our forties. I would not recommend for anyone who has balance issues. I have the sandals and running shoes. I wear the sandals almost every day in the summer; same for the runners in the winter. My husband wears the runners, dress shoes, and the hikers for work, play, gardening, etc. I love MBTs and Zappos!

Makes my feet hurt! After watching the video, I did exactly as instructed, wearing the shoes for only a few minutes a day and working up to wearing them for my morning walk (30-45 minutes). At first I was impressed with the comfort of the shoe. But after a week or so of regular wear every morning, I noticed my heel and ball of foot became very tender and sensitive. Stopped wearing them and pain went away after about 3 days. Very disappointed, spent this much money on shoes I can't wear and can't return. Sigh.

I normally don\'t write reviews but these shoes helped my feet so much that I couldn\'t keep my mouth shut. About 3 years ago I was suffering with foot pain along the arch of my foot. It seemed worse after sleeping all night. My first steps out of bed were pure agony. After painful streching of my foot for about 5 minutes, I was able to make it down the hall. I had the symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis. I had heard of these strange looking shoes on a TV show, and had seen advertisements in the newspaper. The first pair I bought at a local high end shoe store. I paid over $400 for those shoes. I didn\'t care how much they cost, if they would help. Help they did! It took only a few days to get use to the "different" way they make you stand and walk. My muscles were sore in my legs but through it all my feet begain to feel better. It wasn\'t 2 weeks and I did not have any pain in my feet. I wore that 1st pair for over a year before I bought my second pair of MBT shoes, this time they were boots. Two years after the first pair. I just purchase a third pair of MBT\'s, another pair of MBT M. Walk shoes. If you are having foot pain, don\'t have surgery. Try these great shoes, They saved my feet.
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: If you have weak ankles try the MBT boots, They also make sandels and other styles, each one makes your feet feel great.

A great, comfortable shoe with wonderful arch support.\r\nThis M.Walk seems to be a tad larger than the stated size but not enough to order a 1/2 size smaller. A real value.\r\nThis is my third pair of MBT\'S and I can\'t say enough about them

These shoes are great. One of the best I have used for work, where I am on my feet just about all day. They do run a bit large. I usually wear 10.5 or 11 - these fit well at 10.

Additional Brand Information

MBT shoes are physiological footwear - the first footwear that has a positive effect on the entire body. MBT stands for "Masai Barefoot Technology." MBT sneakers and casual shoes are designed using a multi-layered, curved sole which makes for a unique and rewarding walking experience. Few shoes can keep your muscles engaged in a purposeful way, but this is what MBT has done.

The many benefits of MBT shoes are not only substantiated by numerous scientific studies; they are also being enjoyed on a daily basis by more and more health- and fitness-conscious people who improve their physical fitness by merely wearing this physiological footwear. MBT shoes can activate neglected muscles and tone and shape the entire body.

Doctors and physiotherapists recommend MBTs as an effective therapeutic tool, and top athletes like Benni Raich and Michael von Grünigen use their MBT sneakers as mini training and regeneration centers. Shoes designed by MBT can have a positive impact in improving posture and gait, reducing stress on the knees and hips, and even help with joint, ligament and tendon injuries.

If you haven't tried MBT shoes, do yourself a favor and order some from Zappos now! I have a bunion on my big toe, and I've tried several kinds of shoes, pads, etc. to try to make it feel more comfortable when I walk. But, these MBT's do the trick! The sole absolutely does NOT bend, so my foot (and the bunion) does not flex, at all, which was the cause of most of my foot pain. MBT's take a while to get used to, as the walking motion is different from the normal "flex onto your toes, and thrust forward to the next step". Instead, you roll from heel (really about mid-arch) to toe with a rigid foot. I have a balance problem from an old stroke, so it took me a few weeks to get used to the new motion, but now I walk better and faster - and just standing on the shoes is like a "mini balance therapy", which is helping my overall balance. (My wife has no stroke or balance problem, and she adjusted to the new shoes in a matter of days). MBT's have only moderate arch support, so I use an arch-support insert in mine. True to size.

MBT shoes are great. I have spur problems but now with MBT shoes I am back walking 18 holes of golf everyday. Just wish I cold get the company to make me a pair in golf shoes!

I had heard about the MBT shoes, but was a little hesitant to try them. Only with Zappos return guarantee did I feel comfortable purchasing a pair. That, and the fact that the price was right, got me my first pair. I started walking in the house with them, then moved outside after a couple of days of "breaking them in". They're marvelous! I thoroughly enjoy them.

These are amazing shoes! They were recommended to me by a friend with knee and back pain who knew that I had both of these problems too. I could tell how different they were when I first put them on; they change your gait for the better. Both my physical therapist and orthopedist say these are good for knee/back problems. They were so great that I came back for a second pair just a couple of weeks later. I'm a woman who wears an 8.5 wide - I ordered these in a size 9 after reading the reviews and they were great. If you are a woman with a wide foot (MBT's don't come in wide widths) this is the shoe for you - just size up half a size. I'm very pleased with the shoe and with the excellent customer service from Zappos. I'll be back...

My sister told me about MBT. She and I both have back problems and we both feel that if something can help, it's worth every penny. So we each bought a pair. Hers didn't fit as well as she hoped they would (I told her to try a men's size the way I did) and she returned them. But mine have been so amazingly good for me that I bought a second pair. (Women's style this time and a bit on the snug side but wearable.) Really, the difference is astounding! My level of back pain has gone so far down that on some days I can move around in complete comfort. My knees feel better, my hips, and even my feet, once I got used to the somewhat different pressure points. I even think my balance is better, which is a great thing for someone who is getting older. The only thing I would suggest is that you exercise caution going up and down stairs until you're really used to these shoes. Because you tend to rock on the curved sole, it's easy to rock towards the edge of the stair. I've learned to use them to my advantage in climbing up, but going down still makes me a little nervous. If you think you can be helped by these shoes, do try them. Zappos uber-generous return policy makes it a no-brainer.

This shoe has really helped me stand and walk longer - I had 2 knees replaced and my ankles really hurt when I stood or walked for any length of time - Thanks for the shoes and I'm looking for a pair of sandals now.

I ordered these shoes about a month ago. When I put them on, they felt great. I wear a D width, but usually when I try shoes on, they are constricting around the toes. These are not shoes that you just put on and wear like most shoes. They take some practice. They come with a video that should be looked at before trying them. I walk the mall everyday, after about two or three days, I started getting the hang of them. They are heavier than most shoes and because of their design; they will work muscles that don't normally get work. I am extremely happy with my MBT M. Walk shoes.

My left foot is a 14 and right is 13.5 so I ordered the 48.5 in the black Mwalk. The toe box was a little snug and rubbed the sides of my toes a bit. So I ordered the 49 in the Safri model. Its toe box is more square and the shoe was a bit too big on both feet, but was so nice overall I kept the Safri. If your toes are not as long the Mwalk may be fine for you. Once you find your size and model bet you will be hooked too.

Comfort - I work on my feet all day and I have wide feet, so I am limited to what brands I can buy. I have been wearing Keens and have been happy with them, but thought I would take a chance on this new technology. It took about 2 weeks of wearing them for my foot to feel comfortable, just like the Keens, but the negative heel is wonderful! My feet feel great at the end of the day. I feel like I haven't been standing all day. I took a walk outside in them today for the first time and it was great. I Love them!

MBT men's walkers for women - I love these shoes. I am a woman with a wide foot. Not many styles fit a woman with wide feet! To my surprise, the men's shoe fits wider than a womens and so the M Walkers fit great on my foot! With an MBT shoe, you don't need to wear your orthotic inserts anymore! You need to order a half size larger than your regular shoe size.

Love walking in the sand - MY husband was having some hip pain related to his bad back. He put these shoes on and the pain has disappeared and he feels great. He also has a history of a broken heel and still was having pain when walking...all gone. They are perfect, funny looking but still perfect

Exceptionally comfortable sports shoe - I have long had foot problems, including neuromas that have impeded my ability to walk without pain despite the use of prescription orthotics. I tried MBT shoes on the recommendation of my podiatrist, who said they are "perfectly designed." You can read about the technology on MBT's website. I have several models of MBT and am now addicted to them. I use the M.Walk for sports. I love how the shoes cradle my feet, soften the impact of each step, and make me roll when I walk. Though they have an exceptionally roomy toe box -- essential for my comfort -- they do not slip off my heel. I use them with my orthotics, on top of which I use Shockblocker inserts, and the fit is perfect. The only downsides: this is a heavy shoe, and its looks are not for all tastes. Still, you owe it to your feet to give them a try.

MBT M. Walk '08 - Yes this is a weird sneaker. But the problem is it is so HEAVY. The fit is strange too... I got a 1/2 size longer than I needed and it still feels short. And my sense when I wear them is that my feet are not fully on the ground width wise, forget the rocking which is great... It feels like just the very middle of my foot is solid on the ground. I not only rock forward, I feel like I rock side to side.

Relief of Knee Pain - I was looking for a shoe that would provide relief from knee pain. This shoe acts like a shock absorber which seems to give me some relief.
