This product seems like it would be much larger than it is - it's only about a minimum sized backpack. It's about the size of a couple textbooks in capacity. It feels very cheap and looks like it was made from an old wind breaker. When it is full of stuff it looks bloated and feels incredibly heavy because the straps are thin and uncomfortable. I can't think of a consumer demographic that would be interested in this; I thought it would be much larger, personally, given the name and the other backpacks that Marmot makes.

Love this bag! Lightweight, easy to use and durable material. When I'm not hiking, I use it for bike riding and also for carrying my camera equipment. I love that I can fit my 2 liter bladder inside also. Overall, great bag for the money!

Great pack! Lightweight and comfortable. Pull the foam backing out and you've got more of a cinch sack. Awesome. Oh yeah, I get a lot of 'really cool bag' comments also!

About Marmot
Marmot clothing and equipment began in April 1971, when two University of California Santa Cruz students Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley were in the Juneau Icefields of Alaska on a school project in Glaciology. While atop those glaciers, it was there amongst the students that the concept of a Marmot club was born. In order to become a Marmot, they had to climb a glacieted peak with another Marmot. In addition, everyone was president.
During that summer and up until 1973, Eric and Dave began making prototypes of down clothing in their dorm room. In addition to Eric and Dave, their friend Tom Boyce joined their ranks and opened a rental/retail shop under the name Marmot Mountain Works. Here is where the Marmot company was brought to life in the summer of 1974.
