The boots are constructed well. However, they were not what my husband needed. He needs a completely soft toe boot. But he said these were really nice work boots.

I'm sorely disappointed in this boot. Bought them for my husband, he's had Magnum's before that lasted forever but not these. Very stiff and took a while to break in. I bought them July 21, 2011. At not quite the three month mark they're trash. Before the first month broken shoe lace...not a big deal. Two months in one of the eyelets pulled through the material at the ankle. My husband is a truck driver, he just doesn't do that much walking around. The leather at the toe on the right foot has worn down to the safety toe from resting against the hump in his truck, Never, ever has this happened even with the cheap Walmart boot. The Red Wings these were bought to replace only have a slight mark at that location. I strongly suggest that you buy a different boot.

These boots are great work shoes. They do come a little on the wide side though. I liked them so much I got a pair for my work partner. His were a little wide too. But aside from that I have no complaints. These are great boots.

My husband has been very disappointed with these. Within 6 weeks the safety toe was visible from where the toe was rubbed through against the transmission hump of his work truck. This never has happened before, even with the cheapest Walmart boot out there. The strings break constantly. (maybe the eyelets) And several have actually broken. He's hard on shoes but these just seemed to disintegrate within weeks. His previous Magnums lasted 2 years.

This is my 3rd pair of Magnum boots in 2 years. They will be the last. The soles fell off of all 3 starting at the point where your foot bends. Changing models did not help. They must all be crap. Do not waste your hard earned money. This last pair made it about 139 working days, counted them in my log book. I don't find that too impressive, I have hiking boots that have lasted years with many more miles. Goodbye HiTec Magnums!

Most things about these boots are great but they have one huge problem. The stitching on the inside of the Achilles area of my right boot protrudes significantly from the rest of the fabric. This stitching is so rough that it made a hole in my sock and cut my foot and I only wore them for a couple of hours. I just wish there had been more quality control because these are nice boots minus the poor workmanship.
