Out of the box - These boots felt broken in right out of the box. The shank isn't very sturdy but that probably added to the on road comfort. I just spent two weeks in the mountains and while they were comfortable, I found they weren't rigid enough when transversing over rocks and such. I would recommend these boots for urban applications over field ones.

Great boot for work and pleasure - I've spent up to 300 dollars on boots and nothing compares to Magnum. Although the shoe laces could be a little shorter but there is no need to break them in because they already seem like they are broken in; but I guess the only thing I don’t know about is the laces and the way they lace up. They are almost like walking barefoot only with padding on your soles and my feet are pretty sensitive...Well good luck and hope you feel as comfortable as I do in these boots if you decide to buy them.

Best boots for the job so far... I researched through friends and online reviews about the best boots I could buy for what I do. I work outside as a Satellite Technician. This means I am "Everywhere Everyday", you name it. Mud, roofs, building debris, crawl spaces, water, concrete powder, hot & cold surfaces, rain, etc. I am very impressed with how much BEATING these boots have taken so far and the resistance they have. They are very light and comfortable. The only time I think about the fact that I am wearing boots is when I kneel for long periods of time and the toe starts to put pressure in my feet. Other than that, I know I will be looking forward to buying another pair whenever I am done with these boots.

These boots are exactly as advertised. I ordered 2 different sizes to make sure I got the proper fit. They run a little on the big side. The boots fit fine and feel great. Purchased these for my husband as his were at least over 4 years old. He absolutely loves these. Straight out of the box comfort & he cannot afford to deal with painful shoes on his job. He is usually very skeptical about shoes I pick for him but he was surprised himself at how great these were. Kept his feet warm and were very agile.

The boots are comfy. Didn't need to break them in. Make sure to order a size smaller then you normally would unless you are wearing extra thick socks.

The steel toe makes the whole boot extremely rigid, so there isn't much flex in the sole. Good for walking around a job site, but will chew up your feet (expect blisters on forefoot and heel) if you plan to run or otherwise put a lot of miles in them. I bought them for paintball and should've gone with a standard jungle boot instead.
