Magnanni

I am now on my third pair of Magnannis and I am officially a devoted fan! This latest pair, the Ariels, arrived two days ago and I have not stopped wearing them since. The classic cap-toe with exposed stitching compliments nearly any outfit from work to casual but looks best with your favorite slim-fit slacks. The mid-brown color with burnished toes goes well with khakis, dark work pants or a navy suite making them go to shoes for travel. Like the other pairs, these broke in easily and were comfortable after the first day. Bottom line; they are well worth the few extra bucks to get gorgeous Euro styling that makes American feet comfortable. If you have not bought a pair yet, get to it. You will be glad that you did.

Loved the look, they arrived and are very well made. But alas they didn't fit-too wide and too long, even though I wear a 10.5 M in every other shoe. More pointed than they appear in the picture, and that leaves more wiggle room by your toes, too much for me so I returned them.

These are fantastic shoes! I replaced my J&M Meltons which hurt my feet with these and am very glad for the change. The toe box appears a bit long when you first put them on but looks proportionate with slim-fit dress trousers. The simple design compliments a suit and looks good with plain slacks for daily work. I wasn't sure about the rubber sole but they were comfortable from the first outing and the sole continues to wear well. I recommend these without reservation particularly give the modest price.

These are the nicest pair of shoes/boots I have ever put on. I was very hesitant to spend the money but I'm glad I did. I haven't worn them much yet as our "winter" in the NW is rain, but I plan on showing them off in the office or out on a date as soon as I can. The leather is amazing, style goes without saying, and I love the rubber on the bottom to keep myself from sliding across slick office carpet.

First, as the other reviewer notes, these shoes aren't burgundy; they're some shade of darkish brown. Worse, it's not a subtle burnish. Rather, it looks like an artificial wood grain finish. Also, maybe because these were a size 12, they were much pointier than in the photo. (I'm guessing the photo is of a size 10 and that the proportion is better in smaller sizes.) At least on initial try-on, the leather is hard at the top of the vamp and thus uncomfortable. This may go away after a couple hours wear but, since I'm sure I'm sending these back, I took them off.

Very comfortable, smart-looking shoe. Only downside is that the leather is a little flat (i.e. not shiny), even when freshly polished. No way around that since the leather is so soft. Better for business casual than with a suit and tie.

Nice looking shoe, but the grey color is so odd. Dirty brownish grey. Returned. They were out of other colors... the grey looks like something is wrong.

This shoe was so tiny that I couldn't even get it on my foot. I wear a size 15. If you have large feet don't get these.

Amazingly soft leather with a rich look and feel combined with an outstanding fit; just like the proverbial glove. Absolutely worth every dime. Your customer service outsatanding with speed of light shipping. Fantastic...

This is a great shoe. I really like the way the leather is finished. The picture on the site makes it look like a fairly solid finish but it actually has some light and dark striations that are very cool an interesting. Also, I'd say the color is closer to a chestnut brown than burgundy. I order my size and the shoe fit perfectly. In many of the Magnanni reviews they say the shoe runs larger but that wasn't the case for me with this shoe.

These shoes are awesome! They are very sleek. They make a statement but are not extremely loud. Wear them with a suit or jeans. Remember to go down half a size.

This is a great high style mens fashion shoe. Not for yuppies or the weak at heart. Spanish shoes are as well made as any shoe in the world. This shoe is a very structured shoe and very comfortable when fitted properly.

These are grey, not black as I thought when I ordered them. They looked black on screen, but when I got them today I saw the outside of the box said grey. Looking back at Zappos' description, I now see that the color is in fact described as grey, so it's my fault. They are beautiful shoes, and I guess I could make them black with sufficient polish, but I'm returning them. I didn't try them on, so my 5 stars rating above should be interpreted as not wishing to give a negative rating in any regard for very nice shoes. (I know nothing about their size, width or support.) Bummer, I had chosen carefully (I thought) and was looking forward to getting them.

These are great looking shoes that are as comfortable as concrete. My wife got these for me as a Xmas gift. I have since read on other Zappos reviews that this brand can be "brutal" to break in, and I have to agree. The problem is the leather is hard and rigid.

These shoes make quite a statement for any formal event! I purchased them for the Official Inaugural Ball in January 2013 and they are worth every penny. The style, fit, and design are impeccable. I have a high arch and they fit perfectly.

Great shoes, very nice and deep brown color, box is beautiful. design details are very classy looking. My husband ordered half size up for all dress shoes.

I had also purchased the To Boot N.Y variant and was disappointed. The Magnanni is a superior shoe that was also designed internally to be more comfortable to wear. It's disappointing that some high-end shoes like the To Boot N.Y are designed incredibly flat inside, yielding a very tired foot at the end of the day. The Magnanni is also more stylish...an all around better shoe!

I had another pair of Magnannis that was my favorite. I like this one even more. The pictures and videos don't do this shoe justice. When you get it in your hands and wear it, you understand why they charge this much for it.

These shoes are awesome. I love the look and they are very well made. The only thing I do not like is they were very stiff when I purchased them and they are taking quite a while to soften up. This may be because of the excellent quality of the leather. The other thing is that they are a tight fit, I do not have wide feet at all and I found them to pinch a little at the widest point of the foot. I hope this will go away as they soften up because I love these shoes.

The mid-brown Sergio is my favorite dress shoe, due to head over heels attraction to the color and to Magnanni's incredible fit to my feet. The color is darker than the photo, and very subtle. I put Topys on these because I was concerned about the delicate midsole/sole getting nipped by walks on concrete - especially with the long toe, the sole tends to chisel upward easily at the toe tip. Out of all three of my Magnanni's, the mid-brown is my favorite color - with reddish hues and Magnanni's delicate construction, I am in awe. They are not the compliment-grabbers the cognac color is, but it's 10x as complex, easier to pair with other colors, and looks more reserved. The dark tones hide the complex stitching somewhat, and makes the shoe less showy which I like tremendously.
