First impression were that these are good alternatives to Converse. They are great looking shoes that are laid back, feel stylish, and the comfortable material seems like it will hold up pretty well.

I bought these shoes after becoming a fan of Tegan and Sara. I thought the Macbeth Nolan shoes they made looked good and I wanted a similar style of shoe but they didn't sell Nolan's for men. I looked around and found the Schubert's and they are just as good, if not better. Never bought hi-tops before and I'm not a huge fan of Converse so I'm surprised and glad I bought these. I gave it 4/5 for comfort because I find them less comfortable than skate shoes, but only by a little. So to sum it up, they are good, light, durable shoes that keep your feet cool as well. Highly recommend!

Awesome. The comfort, the look and the feel al come into one with this shoe. The DK Schubert are by far the best, more most comfortable, and coolest pair of shoes I own to date.

A comfortable shoe, plus the material is durable because it\'s made of synthetic leather, which is good for the vegetarian society or for helping animals. Also, the material is easy to be cleaned. So there\'s no worry if this shoe has been used for such a hard condition
Brands I'd also recommend: Vans, Famous Stars and Straps, Converse, DC

About Macbeth
Macbeth Vegan. In addition to Macbeth´s music-inspired products, Macbeth is also known for its support of the vegan community. From its inception, Macbeth took inspiration from its family of vegan artists like Bane, Alkaline Trio, American Nightmare, H20, and Sick Of It All and created modern sneakers that contain only vegan materials. Many of these bands were strict advocates for straight edge ideals, which often involved the elimination of using or consuming animal products of any kind. In natural succession, Macbeth's first ever shoe, the Eliot, launched in November of 2002 as a Vegan design. Macbeth continues to produce creative vegan footwear, and in 2007 Macbeth won "Best Vegan Skate Shoe" from Peta.

Solid construction - This shoe feels much sturdier than your common canvas hi-top sneaker. Replaced the laces with a matching pair of cement color laces and the look is perfect...

These are awesome shoes, especially if you dig a minimilist design! However my right Achilles was in pain and I am not sure if it is something in the shoe or my foot. I got them stretched at a shoe repair place and that has helped a little. I really like these shoes and I hope your ankle/ Achilles does not get any pain from wearing them.

These shoes are just plain awesome. I had been wearing Converse All Stars for years but after buying the Macbeth Schubert I'll never go back. Great looking and comfortable shoe. I can play drums in them, too! Thanks Macbeth!
