Macbeth Vegan. In addition to Macbeth´s music-inspired products, Macbeth is also known for its support of the vegan community. From its inception, Macbeth took inspiration from its family of vegan artists like Bane, Alkaline Trio, American Nightmare, H20, and Sick Of It All and created modern sneakers that contain only vegan materials. Many of these bands were strict advocates for straight edge ideals, which often involved the elimination of using or consuming animal products of any kind. In natural succession, Macbeth's first ever shoe, the Eliot, launched in November of 2002 as a Vegan design. Macbeth continues to produce creative vegan footwear, and in 2007 Macbeth won "Best Vegan Skate Shoe" from Peta.

I really wanted to like these shoes, as it's very difficult to find comfortable shoes that look good and aren't made of leather. I have a "high instep" which means my feet are fairly meaty on top and I could barely even fit my feet in these shoes. Also, although I liked the way they look, they had kind of a cheapish feel to them. I would definitely recommend ordering a half size larger than you usually wear. As for me, it's back to the drawing board.

This was my first Zappos purchase. My first MacBeth shoe. These are great comfortable shoes. They are durable. They look great. Exactly as in the picture. Sturdier than the Vans Classic and Converse all-star types.

I love these. I've been looking for a replacement for my canvas Vans and these are exactly what I wanted. Low profile, canvas, and pretty much the same style as what I had. These are the Macbeth's I've been waiting for. The back is uncomfortable at first, so it'll take a little while to break them in.

Okay, I own eight pairs of Macbeth shoes, and the Langley is by far the best from Macbeth (yeah, that rhymed)! They're so comfortable and they look great! I ordered the black/cement color and Tom DeLonge himself is wearing the same colored Langley on this years Honda Civic tour. So that's a plus! The name alone is just awesome! I nicknamed my pair my "CIA shoes" Macbeth Langley. Get your pair today and be radical.

The Langley is the Summer 2011 studio project, by none other than Thomas DeLonge. So, what makes this shoes stand out as a Tom DeLonge studio project? Not much from the outside but it does have custom insoles, which are very Angels & Airwaves related. The shoe comes with the Macbeth necklace which sports Tom's interest in masonic symbols. What I find most interesting about his shoe is its low profile. I accredit the low profile nature to the shoe's spy theme. The Langley is named after Langley Falls, VA (aka the CIA's headquarters). Tom DeLonge is known for his conspiracy theories so this shoe fits in well. It has a very calm look to it which is unusual because most other Macbeth shoes stand out. This shoe gives you that great Macbeth look and feel without shouting it to the whole room.
