Not a bad shoe - Con: HEAVY, but will get legs stronger I guess. Pros: Very stylish, comfortable. Runs a little small (make sure to order a 1/2 size larger than your normal shoe size). Ex. New Balance shoes if you wear a 10, order a 10 and 1/2 for these.

Best shoe I have ever worn. Very comfortable. I have been wearing Lugz Drifters for years. I wear them at work and daily. All occasion shoe.

Brands I'd also recommend: Non steel toe Drifter by Lugz.

Great Shoe - I work in Iraq and needed a tough shoe that would hold up to the heat and rugged terrain as well as be comfortable. This shoe has been excellent and I would highly recommend this footwear.

This shoe is excellent - I just got my first pair of Lugz. I had not wanted a pair until I tried them on. Now I own 3 pairs, 2 steel toe and 1 regular. I live in Maine and these shoes are rugged and durable. They can take a beating and still be good when you’re done. Over all these are great boots.

Brands I'd also recommend: chipewa, redwing,

    LUGZ | HISTORY

Always an innovator and leader in urban footwear, Lugz first made a name for itself in October of 1993, bringing its first line of boots to market, with the initial product consisting of two styles of boots, a quilted vest and a pair of jeans.

Soon Lugz was endorsed by key players from the world of hip hop and has continued to do so throughout the years. One of such collaborations led to Lugz breathing life to a whole new category of footwear with the introduction of the first ever celebrity-endorsed "Funk Master Flex" urban driving shoe. This was only the beginning, as support then led to a collaborative line with hip-hop superstar Bryan "Baby" Williams, aka "Birdman" with his own series of sneakers and boots.

In 2006, Orange County Choppers, the world's premier builders of custom motorcycles, signed on to endorse Lugz shoes, which they were already wearing so it was a natural fit. With its aggressive "built for the city reputation", Lugz collaborated with Paul Teutul Jr to create a signature Lugz shoe, "the Torx", which interpreted this incredibly well.

In the fall of 2008 Lugz shot on to the Mixed Martial Arts scene signing its first two MMA fighters, Lyoto Machida and Houston Alexander, as endorsers. With MMA becoming the fastest growing sport/entertainment platform with an increasingly growing fan base, Lugz was excited to be a part of this growing trend and later signed Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. In 2010, Cain Velasquez, who currently ranks #2 in the MMA heavyweight division, became the newest endorser of Lugz. From its inception, Lugz footwear has been an innovator in the footwear market from its trend-setting styles such as the Strutt, Drifter, and Charger, to creating signature styles beyond boots, and has added casual shoes and athletics to the mix for the Lugz men, Lugz women and Lugz kids lines.

Lugz Drifter - Having worn Timberland for a few years, I didn't find these as comfortable. But at half the price, I'm pretty happy with them. They feel heavier than Timberland, but seem to have better traction and a bit more padding inside.

    Brands I'd also recommend: Timberland

A good shoe - I owned pair of Lugz boots, which were very comfortable, so I went with Lugz again. However, these low cuts are not as comfortable as the other shoes were.

A very decent and strong shoe. My only complaint is that in the time it took to break them in, the low rise tops blistered the back of my ankles. Now that they're a bit worn in, this isn't so much a problem. The shoe also breathes well.

Here’s the deal, read review after review… all are fairly good. I have had a miserable experience with these boots! I have been a fan of this style boot and bought my first pair of LUGZ after a friend said they were worth the money, etc… I have worn many pairs of Skechers, Docs - all the same style for work. Steel toe vs no steel, maybe to be considered? I’ve preferred steel toe for the look of it… these boots are killing my feet after the first 6 hours. From hour 6-8 I can barely walk, and walking out of the hospital after an 8 hour shift, feels like I’ve got blisters on the top ridge and sides of both feet… Plus side is if I go anywhere for less than 4 hours, I would prefer these boots!

    Brands I'd also recommend: Skechers

When my attempt to pay for the shoes online with my credit card failed, I called the customer service representative. He could not have been any more professional or helpful. In short manner he processed my payment. The shoes arrived much quicker than expected. They were high quality and actually fit! I've had a bad experience with mail order shoes in the past but with the free shipping both ways, it dispelled any concern over fit and satisfaction. Overall, a great purchasing experience.

Lugz exceeded my expectations in every way. They provide great comfort and durability. The hard sole allowed for maximum comfort and support. The steel toe really came in handy, while working with heavy equipment. The stiff leather of the shoe and overall design really allowed mobility where needed and kept stiffness when needed. They are rugged and heavy duty, yet stylish. Overall, I recommend this brand and these shoes to anyone looking for high quality footwear.

I have had this shoe for a very short time so far. However, the style is fantastic. Love the look! The comfort for everyday would be fine but I work 12 hour shifts on a freight dock and after hour 4 I am ready to tear my feet off and my back is killing me. After reading the reviews I thought this would be a good work boot for me but it is not the one I have since ordered a different type and will use these for casual wear. Not only that but in my line of work my shoes are abused and these scuffed the 1st day back to work with them.

Toes are a little uncomfortable. I bought a size 9 when really I wear 8.5 just in case and they were still a little uncomfortable due to the steel toe. But I would recommend them. Keep in mind though these are the first steel toes I've owned or worn for that matter.
