The Lugz brand was launched in October of 1993, with the initial product consisting of two styles of boots, a quilted vest and a pair of jeans. Lugz footwear was “built for the city” - aggressively styled using the highest quality materials for maximum durability and superior comfort. Featuring premium leathers and durable construction Lugz shoes are designed with the fashion forward customer in mind.

Soon Lugz was endorsed by key players from the world of hip hop and has continued to do so through out the years. This support lead to a collaborative line with hip-hop superstar Bryan “Baby” Williams, aka “Birdman” with his own series of sneakers and boots.

In 2006 Orange County Choppers, the world’s premier builders of custom motorcycles signed on to endorse Lugz shoes. The Orange County Choppers family continues to endorse Lugz footwear and has lead to Orange County Choppers’ Paul Teutul Jr.’s signature Lugz shoe, the Torx.

From its auspicious inception Lugz footwear has been an innovator in the footwear market from its trend setting styles such as the Strutt, Drifter, and Charger. Creating animation character themes such as the Jokaz and producing steel toe boot versions of some Lugz’s signature styles and expanding to create Lugz Kids shoes are a few ways Lugz footwear has broadened its appeal.

As a fashion-forward brand, the corporate mission is dedicated to offering fashion, quality and style. Over the years, these concepts have helped the Lugz brand become a leader in urban footwear.
