If you had told me only a week ago that my favorite pair of shoes would turn out to be cowboy boots, I would have laughed and said you were nuts. But today, it is the truth. I could not even tell you why I ordered these boots. I had always been curious about Lucchese, and the fact that they were on sale, certainly helped. But I am a Boston born and bred woman, and the only other city I have lived in was a blissful decade spent in San Francisco, so I am not exactly the cowgirl type. Not that you need to be a real ranch hand to wear cowboy boots, of course, but I suppose I could not imagine where I would wear them. Anyway, for some reason the odd color of these boots jumped out at me. I thought it would be the perfect neutral color to go with jeans, and it is. But oh my word, the fit! Thanks to the reviews I had read of other Lucchese boots here on Zappos, I assumed they would run narrow so I ordered an 8C, and I am so glad I did. When I first put the boots on I thought that they felt a bit tight, even with the wider width, but after wearing them around for only two days (all last weekend) they fit perfectly. I cannot tell you how comfortable they are. I want to wear them everywhere. I wore them in the house doing laundry last night. I am trying to figure out how I can wear them to work. I just love these boots! Again, the color is brownish, but very neutral, and the finish is distressed. Unless you have narrow feet you might think about going with the C instead of the B width, but the size itself was true. If you are looking at, or even thinking about, buying a pair of cowboy boots, you cannot go wrong with Lucchese. Thank you, Zappos!
