What Happened to "Unsurpassed Craftsmanship"? I purchased these boots at Boot Barn. They are beautiful boots, beautifully made, and they fit me great. I loved them. After one month, the stitching in the front and back---on both boots--frayed and came loose. I wrote an email to Lucchese but never got a response. I had a really difficult time getting Boot Barn to take them back even though they were defective....I was a couple of days over the thirty-day return period....even for defective merchandise? I would love to get another pair, but at this price, I'm too paranoid that this will happen again. Anyone else experience this?

The real deal. These boots are so far above, in both looks and comfort, any other boots I have ever owned. I also have them in tan and I would trade all my other "mall boots" for just the two of these. Neither of them required any breaking in, the workmanship is meticulous, and the design of the boot is perfect. I especially appreciated the fact that they were a bit on the narrow side, as I have trouble sometimes with regular "B" width shoes and boots being too wide. Zappo's service is on a par with the excellence of these boots, and I look forward to ordering more shoes from them in the future.

The perfect black cowboy boot - This is my second pair of Luccheses. My boyfriend got me a pair for my birthday in another style in brown. I loved them so much I thought I'd treat myself to the perfect black pair. "These boots are made for walking" all day with jeans or going out and dressing up with a skirt or dress. They felt lived in the minute I put them on. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Luchesse western boots are very comfortable walking boots! These Western boots are not only beautiful, but also very comfortable for walking. They have great cushioning and great arch supports. The leather molds to your foot after just a few minutes of walking.

Nice Birthday Gift! I got a pair of these for my birthday and the first time I wore then, I had them on for 5-6 hours -- mostly standing and walking -- and they felt like I've been wearing them for years. These boots are very nice and comfortable!

Not the usual Lucchese fit - Have owned other Lucchese boots that have been absolutely the most comfortable shoe in my closet. However, this boot, which I ordered in the same size as my other Lucchese's was so narrow in both the width and toe box, they were much too painful to wear. I even tried to order a 2nd time, thinking perhaps they had been mismarked. However, the 2nd pair fit equally bad. They are a great looking boot and if you have a narrow foot, would probably be okay. I have always worn the "classic" style, this was an 1883. The fit is completely different.

Great fit for NARROW feet - If you have narrow feet and have a difficult time finding Western boots that will fit without having to wear two pair of chunky socks, then you should try Lucchese boots. They are a little more form-fitting and run on the narrow side. You can probably get away with one pair of chunky socks! These boots are beautifully crafted of smooth, supple leather and with a slightly cushioned foot bed, they are comfortable right out of the box. This particular syle has the leather finished in a smooth matte texture, not a highly polished look, it's soft and understated and there is no question upon first glance these boots are of the highest quailty.

Wonderful boot!! I ordered a 7.5 wide, my normal shoe size is 8.5 medium. These fit perfectly. I ordered a medium first and had to return--too tight! These are perfect--wore them all day from the get go. I will order other styles again as long as I can get the wide width. I also have a high arch and Lucchese is one of the few women's boots I can get my foot in--otherwise I would have to go to a men's.

Love them! I have four other pairs of Lucchese boots. I love each one of them. They are THE most comfortable western boots. I tried all the other brands before I purchased my first Lucchese. You will see what I mean if you try them on. Do not waste your time on others.

Fits well, looks great - Really nice cowboy boots. The stitching is very subtle so they look good with clothes that I would not normally wear with cowboy boots. Comfortable and great fit.

All day comfort - I have collapsing arches and have found boots are my best bet for comfort. I tested my Lucchese at the mall, shopping from noon until about 5pm. They were a great choice.

Boot Lover's Paradise - I wear an 8B in a shoe but have a very high arch so did not go a size or even a 1/2 size smaller like some had suggested. Still, I could not get the boot on. Called Zappos Customer Service and asked the fella's advice who answered the phone. He suggested same size in a C width would do the trick. Made arrangements for the exchange and had my new pair by noon the very next day. Slipped them on easily with a light sock and they fit as if they were custom made. I have not taken them off yet. Feel I could walk 30 miles in them. The look, the comfort, the style. Absolutely love these boots for every day wear. A Classic! Highly recommend Lucchese boots and of course, the fabulous Zappos.

Best boots I've ever had! Lucchese have long been recommended to me, and I finally decided to try a pair. Wish I'd done it sooner, as they're the best fitting and most comfortable boots I've owned. I'd read the reviews on the 1889 boots, so I ordered the Wide width instead of medium and that worked out great, so thanks to the person who left that review! Usually I order a 9B in boots, but ordered the 8-1/2 W and they are the perfect fit. I highly recommend these boots!

Worth the money! Beautiful boots. Yes, they are the most comfortable boots I have EVER worn. Worth the money. All the other boots in the past have been fashion boots. This is a true western boot.
