I ordered a total of 8 (yeah, not a misprint) boots. That's what I love about Zappos: easy & free returns. Anyway, these boots were the least expensive, but the most comfortable. I kept trying boots on and off at night when I came home from work. Slowly I eliminated one by one depending on the look first then comfort. I kept going back & forth between a pair of gators and a pair of tan lizards and decided on the gators. Packed the remainders for shipping back, but put these back on (Tan Mad-dog) and realized they were really the most comfortable. So, since these are more casual then the gators I kept them also. Great fit & look great, too!

These boots are ready to go!
Although the boot is a bit more expensive, it is worth every penny. The craftsmanship shows in ever stitch and better yet (IT'S MADE IN THE USA). It is the first boot I have ever owned with the arch support that it has. They are really sharp and I wear them riding, or partying.

I just received these Lucchese 1547 boots about a week ago. I've been wearing them every day. They are really comfortable, and the craftsmanship is top-notch.
These boots get an A+ rating from me. I wouldn't change a thing. The leather is beautiful, much nicer-looking in person than the photos shown on Zappos.

Great boots, soft leather, high quality. Zappos' customer service was stellar as usual. Zappos.com without a doubt has the best customer service out of any online retailer I have dealt with before!!!! There really is no reason to buy shoes online anywhere else if Zappos carries what one is looking for.

Tahiti Joe the hot sauce Kahuna wears Lucchese.
Best overall boot I ever had, style, comfort.
Lucchese 1883 is my favorite.
My normal size is 10D. In this boot I took 9EE.
A year later I bought the chocolate mad dog goat.

This is a great looking boot. Seems 1/2 - 1 size short and 1/2 size narrow.

Great boot. The last boot I owned was a Nocona but there is no comparison. I loved the fit so much that I ordered the black goat and if I can get away with it with my wife, I'm ready to order the chocolate. Great fit great boot.

REAL boots from someone who knows -
My husband had wanted to have real boots like those he had growing up in Mexico. These are them! He loves wearing the boots and even loves to look at them on the shelf. I made him very happy when I got them for him as a gift. They're really soft and comfortable, true to size and he wore them all night to a concert when they were brand new, and even after dancing, no blisters! The embroidery is really nice, detailed, but still masculine and not ostentatious.

The Best Boot Ever!
This is simply the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. It is very stylish and looks great dressed up or down. It fits true to size and is very comfortable out of the box, they feel as if I have worn them before.

This was a gift for my husband, who is very picky about fit. These are the MOST comfortable, well fitting boots he owns now, according to him. Not too narrow and very soft. Great gift and a great boot!

Lucchese Mad Dogs -
My husband is a size 9-1/2, and has wide feet (between a D and E width). Since this boot only comes in D width, I ordered three sizes for him to try--9-1/2, 10 and 10-1/2. He couldn't get his feet into the 9-1/2; the 10-1/2 was too long and slightly roomy, and there was way too much slide in the heel; but the 10 was a good fit. Once you get the fit right, you will love them. Lucchese makes awesome boots!
