Overall:

I wear heaps of clothes the minute it gets cold and cozy feet are a necessity. Since my feet sweat if I get overheated, I really need shoes with socks that breathe like wool. These socks are warm, not bulky (thicker than dress socks but not much thicker than any regular crew sock), not ichy, and look fine so far after several rounds in my washer and dryer. They are a bit pricey, but cheap socks die after one season - so I am hopeful I will get several seasons out of these. Cheap socks also get those annoying pills on the fabric surface and I haven't seen any of those so far.

Be aware that this is not really as thin as a typical American "trouser" sock. If your shoes are sized to fit nylon socks or pantyhose, this sock will be too thick. Also, the color is a blend of brown and black, not what I would consider "blackberry". I didn't unpackage the socks to try them on so I am just giving everything 1 star.

I have six pairs of these Lorpen socks and if I had the money I\'d buy more. They are exceptionally comfortable. They "hug" your feet and lower leg, but they don\'t feel like it at all. They stay up; you can wear them all day and you hardly know you have them on. I would give them an "A+". Best socks I ever had.

I like thicker socks for the winter, and these are nice and cushiony. They are thick and warm without making my feet sweaty. Quite nice.

I bought these socks for a recent hiking trip, they are fantastic. The socks were comfortable in my shoes, didn't bunch up, stayed smooth and comfortable in my shoes and didn't fall down. My feet stayed dry and comfortable for the entire hike. I love them!

Your Merino Ultra light hiker shortys are the greatest. It makes a huge difference in the way my feet feel after a big hike. Not so hot and sweaty. So comfortable. I use them for day to day regular walks also. Just really a great product.

Overall:

Very nice, they fit like a second skin, seem durable, and move perspiration really well. I have used them both, by themselves and as liners, and both ways they work superbly.

Blisters and walking.I recently moved to Texas from Michigan after retiring 4 yrs. ago. I put on a lot of weight in those 4 yrs. and started walking gradually getting up to 5 miles a day and have lost even more weight than I gained during that 4 yrs. Of course I've been eating better too. I was getting a lot of blisters on my heels, toes, and the bottom of my feet and I am wearing good walking shoes. I read about silk lined socks for blister problems and ordered 3 pr. to try them out. After a month I ordered 3 more pair and just ordered my daughter 3 pr. as she walks at least 3 times a week.Not only do I not get anymore blisters, my feet feel more refreshed and less tired after my walks. I recommend these socks to anyone whose exercise included a lot of walking.

Spectacular - I bought these for my wife who has very sweaty feet and she loves the comfort and padding of them. Definitely a must buy for anyone who puts a lot of stress on their feet daily.

Lorpen Walking Modal Socks - I can’t brag enough about these socks! My first pair I purchased was in Lake Tahoe, California due to the cold weather. Not only were they warm, but extremely comfortable!! I bought several pairs and my daughters also loved them when they tried them out - comfort A++++++
