Lorpen Reviews
They're technically unisex, but they lean towards being women's socks. I have no concrete features to describe why I think this, but I just get this 'people are judging you' vibe when I take my boots off. They're pretty comfy though.

These socks are excellent. They are mid calf and that is just what I wanted (the picture suggests they are lower). For work boots or motorcycle/rally boots these are the best, they truly do stay up and are made in such a way as to discourage any bunching etc. For a foot smaller than 8.5 Men's, I suggest the smaller size, but for 8.5 and larger, the larger ones will fit better. You will get some shrinkage no matter how careful you are about washing and drying. I wish these could also come in a light gray or tan color.

Wearing them right now! Great! Probably going to throw all my other socks away! Yes, really. You'll love them.

These socks are really nice. They stay up, keep you feet the right temperature, and provide good cushioning without being too thick. Writing this review reminds me that I want to order some more!
Almost knee high sock. Medium cushion around foot, thinner mesh like weave on top of foot. Exceptionally comfortable. Waiting to see how durable they are as just purchased and three days into wearing, but so far, great. Used with Roper boots, on a very hot day [85] and feet felt good. I give 4 stars for style as they are a bit utilitarian.

Bought these on advice from Outside gear test editors - they got it right, great socks!

These socks were nice quality, but too tight around my lower calves, so sending them back.

Note: These are a full 5" longer than standard "Crew" length socks. They should be referred to as Mid-Calf, since that is where they land. Otherwise, they appear to be a quality product; I just don’t know how long the elastic will hold out being stretched across the widest part of your calf.

I wear heaps of clothes the minute it gets cold and cozy feet are a necessity. Since my feet sweat if I get overheated, I really need shoes with socks that breathe like wool. These socks are warm, not bulky (thicker than dress socks but not much thicker than any regular crew sock), not ichy, and look fine so far after several rounds in my washer and dryer. They are a bit pricey, but cheap socks die after one season - so I am hopeful I will get several seasons out of these. Cheap socks also get those annoying pills on the fabric surface and I haven't seen any of those so far.

I have six pairs of these Lorpen socks and if I had the money I\'d buy more. They are exceptionally comfortable. They "hug" your feet and lower leg, but they don\'t feel like it at all. They stay up; you can wear them all day and you hardly know you have them on. I would give them an "A+". Best socks I ever had.

I like thicker socks for the winter, and these are nice and cushiony. They are thick and warm without making my feet sweaty. Quite nice.

Best.Sox.Ever.I've been wearing these socks every day since I purchased them a few weeks ago, and they are undoubtedly the best socks I've ever owned. I've got problem feet: They're usually hot and sweaty when it's warm, and cold and sweaty when it's cold. Somehow, these socks are now keeping them comfortable and dry. Haven't owned them long enough to say how well they wear, but given their stellar performance thus far, I'm hopeful they'll last a long time. If not, I'll report back.

Shoes & Socks Arrive - The Lorpen Merino Light Hiker's are a good match for the New Balance 965s included in the same order. I want to add that New Balance, especially, has been right on the money regarding size for my large and wide feet. An excellent product. But let's also say a word about Zappos service. Unsurpassed. I've never received better at a local shoe shop. The only thing that can get a little tricky is fitting because style and construction can make a big difference, depending on the manufacturer. Zappos generous shipping and the speed with which it takes place, cover this minor challenge.
