These boots have a nice height and thick leather. The interior construction is much better than I expected and more substantial overall. The one drawback is the relatively thin rubber sole. Even though these aren't work boots I would have expected a slightly better sole. The big worry I had before purchasing these boots is that they seemed to be more for looks, and may not stand up to everyday wear. I am very pleased with the heft, construction and overall quality. Besides the thin rubber on the sole these have far exceeded my expectations. Good, classic looking boots that seem like they'll last.

Great boots, I like them! The picture is somewhat misleading though, as it shows the leather as quite shiny. In reality it's the same matte finish as black or light brown models.
