Originally an immigrant of Bavaria, Levi traveled westward in search of greater opportunities and fortune. An eager businessman of his time, he established a wholesale dry goods business simply dubbed 'Levi Strauss & Co.' It was through this outlet that he imported dry goods, including clothing, umbrellas and fabric. Business was blossoming with the rise of the gold rush, but it was in 1873 that Levi struck gold. Levi Strauss, along with co-creator Jacob Davis patented the process of adding rivets to pants for increased strength and durability. Their creation of the classic 'blue jean' can now be found in households and catwalks worldwide.
LS&Co exists today as one of the world's largest brand-name apparel marketers with sales in over 110 countries. The Levi's brand continues its legacy by consistently providing quality jeans and products, and by earning the trust of consumers, investors, employees and society as a whole through their responsible business practices. This principle of responsible commercial success is embedded in the company's 156-year history and continues to anchor the way LS&Co operates today.

I bought the overdyed "Hidden Shadow"- a nice brown. I also own 2 other pairs of 535 and plan on at least one more. Here's the deal: the overdyed ones (like the black, purple and certain blues) fit different. I suspect it is the dyes and the fabric. I have normal denim ones and they are really nice leggings. If you size up in those, you get a looser legging. However, if you size up in the overdyed, you end up with a slim pant, perfectly acceptable as pants, not just leggings. I wear an 11 or 13, but when I sized to 15 in the black. purple, and brown - wow! A decent pair of pants that look smooth and sleek-even on my 5' 3" frame. The 535 is terrific if you get the fit right. I am 51 and get compliments when I wear them. The fabric is thick enough so underwear does not show underneath, but not too thick.

Super comfortable and flattering. :) Just make sure that you look at the size chart before purchasing...I wear a 0 (25) in every other brand of pants, but since these use Juniors sizing I had to get a 3.

These are very cute and a thicker material than normal leggings, which is nice for the price. However, they run extremely small. I am a consistent 27, and buy a 5 in juniors sizes. I couldn't even get these buttoned! Go a size up.

These run way small, in fact I have ordered 3 different sizes and they were all almost the same. The largest size was way smaller than the 2 smaller sizes. Very poor quality control in my opinion.

I just got these from Zappos. Very happy with them. They do feel more like jeans then leggings but have a bit of stretch so they still fit smoothly. I will probably order another pair - they are cute with boots but I bet I wear them with flats this summer!
