I sent this kettle to my sister and brother-in-law for Christmas and they are very satisfied with it. I bought it through Zappos because I didn't have to pay tax or delivery charges. The only negative was that Zappos did not include my name and "Merry Christmas" greeting -- so they didn't know who it was from.

A beautiful yet functional addition to your kitchen. Solid, heats quickly, just make sure to empty after use to prevent rusting. Enjoy.

After 3 months of use a heavy rust set inside the kettle, rusting the water during boiling. This is a steel or iron kettle - not a stainless steel. Comfortable kettle - however, the lid falls off during pouring - one has to hold it with a finger risking being scalded by a steam. If lid falls on the floor, the enamel chips off rather easily.
