I bought the LeCreuset 9 qt round French oven after years of using the various other sizes and styles, so I had already known how so worth the investment it was going to be, you just can't go wrong with these pots! They are heavy, sturdy, versatile pots! I even cook outside on the open flame! They clean easy, and, yes, they look great serving from! They cook evenly. I personally like the larger handles and the the steel knob. You will build memories with these pots! And after it's all said and done, it can be passed on for generations to come!

This french oven is fantastic. I have a smaller one but was always frustrated that it couldn't hold enough volume to make most of the soups I enjoy. This one easily accommodates soup and chili to feed a large crowd (18+). That being said, it is probably not the right choice for those cooking for 2! Like the other Le Creuset french ovens, it cooks so evenly and cleans up in a flash. Also, I have to say that I received this item only 12 hours after I ordered it. I don't know how Zappos does it!

I have cooked many many pot roasts and was never so happy when everybody raved about the left over roast that I put on the table on Christmas day. The honey baked ham was left alone until that roast was gone. I jut wanted to relieve some of the space in the fridge by putting the roast on the dinner table. We had an open house on Christmas and everybody including the children wanted the roast beef. Yes, this product made a great difference in the taste. I am now a believer and will be getting the whole set. It is the last cookware set I will ever need or want.

Very excited to have my new, le creuset Dutch oven. Haven't used it yet, so can't give complete review. Still, I can say it looks lovely sitting on my stove in beautiful fennel (green) and matches my kitchen decor perfectly. It is beautifully constructed and I can tell whatever I cook in it will be better tasting than it would if I had used a lesser quality pot. It is heavy because of its size (9-1/2 quarts) and when filled with food, will be even heavier. However, the quality of heat conduction in enamel covered cast iron cookware cannot be matched for preparation of stove top to oven dishes. I am looking forward to many years of good cooking with my new and special Le Creuset dutch oven.
