Exactly as described. Excellent boot for those wet, sloppy winter days. Just so happens my order arrived a day before a snow storm so I was able to wear them out three times in one day and felt confident that I could slog through anything. The side-zip made it a breeze to get them on and off. These are the perfect blend of style and function.

These boots were bought for rock, mud, and trail walking. They are indeed waterproof. They are also comfortable. I bought my exact show size, instead of my usual 1/2 size larger, so the sizing in right on for me. The side zip entry is convenient on tall boots and make for fast on and off. The sole is not as hard as the one on my hiking boots, so it grips slippery tree roots and rocks much better. A similar model is available with a rubber capped toe, which was not available in my size or I would have gotten it. However, the leather on these boots seems tough.
