Nice looking and extremely comfortable. That is all that is good about these! They seem to self-destruct after about a month of use. The outer layer peels from the "leather", the seam at the back of the heel splits (no, they do fit properly and are not tight) and the edge of the sole/heel splits open (worn only indoors and mostly on carpet). I ordered 2 pair and both had the identical problems. The L. B. Evans Opera slipper in the "old days" was a very good product (that's why I ordered 2 pair) and then they outsourced, 'nuff said. I would give it zero stars for "Overall" and "Quality" if those ratings were available.

My father is a 94-year old retired physician who is very alert and intellectually active, although his physical abilities have deteriorated somewhat. He just loves these slippers and wears them most of the time he is at home. Very pleased that you still stock these and also with your quick delivery.

I like them! L.B. Evans Duke Opera slippers are good looking, well-made, and comfortable after a few wearings. Needed a shoe horn for a few days.

I was disapointed that Evan's opera slippers don't come with an out-door sole anymore.

L. B. Evans Slippers - What a pleasure to be wearing what I consider the best slipper in the country! A bit of history about L. B. Evans. Many moons ago when they operated in Wakefield, MA, they made slippers for the world famous boxer Primo Canera. The size of it was 17 I don't remember the width.

Duke Opera Slipper is good - A very comfortable slipper. I wanted a size 11, but had to settle for a 10 1/2 - which proved to be large enough. It looks very good, but does not provide a great deal of support.

L.B. Evans Duke Opera! Slippers - This slipper more than met my expectations even though the sole was manmade rather than leather. Manmade soles may last longer but there is nothing like the feel of genuine calfskin.

Just right- Great feel. Could be softer in the heal area for me, but that may be because I am getting used to an "opera slipper."

Give them a chance - When I got the slippers in my size, I had to send them back because they were too small. The replacement slippers were tight. But I wore them for two weeks and they now fit. Order slippers a size larger than you wear.

Great Service - I found exactly what I wanted for my dad. I ordered it under the free standard 5 day shipping option. Shortly thereafter, I received an e-mail advising me that the order had been processed and it would delivered in two days instead of five. It arrived as promised and my dad loves his new slippers!

Since I can no longer find Daniel Green slippers, I have been searching for an alternate. These sounded good, but the quality and comfort is just not comparable. The label on the inside is utmost annoying and uncomfortable if not wearing socks. One would think this would be an easy fix but I guess the manufacturer doesn't care what patrons think. This is actually a no brainer. I am still looking for a replacement for my Daniel Greens which I continue to wear after receiving the new LB Evans and I guess I will until they will no longer stay on my feet.

Slippers - The slippewrs were a present for my father . He used to wear some like them when I was a little girl. After surgery my father wanted to have slippers to wear, but found that all the ones locally were too narrow and not comfortable. I had ordered some other products from you and thought that perhaps you would have the slippers that he wanted. It was a great christmas present. Thanks

Elegant and comfortable classic slipper! I bought these slippers as a gift for my father. He loves LB Evans as it is a brand known for quality craftmanship. I selected the burgundy and it is so dashing--a rich, slightly glossy leather. It is also the most versatile of colors as it looks good with everything. These have a soft-heel so you get the support of a heel without the hardness of a traditional hard heel. Perfect! The Zappos price is a much better deal than in any of the upscale stores where these are sold. ( Bloomingdales, Lord&Taylor, Marshall Field's,etc) The delivery was fast and effecient!

Not pleased - I purchased this shoe because I purchased the EXACT pair in a retail store two years ago, and I was more than satisfied. I ordered the EXACT SIZE, EXACT WIDTH (as I previously purchased). I received a shoe that was (around) 1/2 size smaller and not as wide as marked.

bring back Daniel Green operas - Thw original Daniel Greene orera indoor and out door slipper was absolutely the finest foot ware of its type ever made. I'm saddened to hear of its demise. Iagree with Mr.Schultz of Orlando Fla.,NO slipper can beat the Daniel Greene of old.Wore three pair for approx. 20yrs.

Nice slippers - I like these slippers BUT, I used to buy Daniel Greene "opera" slippers, but they are apparently no longer made. The reason that I liked Danl greene, and the one deficiency in L B evans (and others) is that the back is soft and collapses when sliding the foot into. with the "hard" back, they slip on easily, withour the need for a show horn. Being lazy, I apprecaited that one feature very much.
