I\'m very tall and tend not to wear heels. I also have super high arches and calves on the thin side. You put these together and finding a nice looking, comfortable, affordable boot is nearly impossible. I usually wear flip flops or Uggs but decided I had to up my style a bit. These boots are great, because of the zipper they are easy to get on and off. The rubber sole makes them comfortable and not slippery when wet out. And the very low heel is great for someone not looking for height. I have tried on so many boots that don\'t fit because I couldn\'t get them on and off or the calf area (shaft?) is huge. I think these are classic boots that will stay in style for many years. They look great with skinny jeans.

I\'ve recently gained some weight, and a lot of it appears in my calves. I normally wear my Steven brand flat boots that have an adjustable buckle on the side. Those seemed to be the only ones that could fit around my calf while wearing skinny jeans. Well, now I can add these black boots to that collection. The shaft width was surprisingly ample and comfortable. It does take a bit of time to get used to the height, but it begins to ease as the leather stretches and molds to my leg\'s curves. One commenter mentioned that they looked like a super hero, which I can understand. I tried mine on and thought I looked a bit like Santa Claus. In actuality, though, if you have larger calves, these boots are great, and with time they conform to your shape and help create an elegant and posh look. I promise you they don\'t look like Santa\'s boots anymore. Also, I love that the leather stretches, but still keeps its structure. Tall boots, not slouchy boots. \r\n

Not for me. First of all, the shoes smelled like mothballs. Ick! I didn't like the heel shape or the shortness of the top of the shoe. Returning.

This boot is comfortable! I wanted a boot that I could wear every day. This boot looks great with boot cut or skinny. It has a great fit. I also have in black. Very comfy!

These boots were exactly what I was looking for: comfortable, elegant enough to wear with skirts and nice slacks, and sensible soles for those days when it\'s messy or slick outside. I\'ve worn them to work already this Fall and they were comfortable all day, the first time I wore them. I got the brown leather, a fairly dark, gorgeous color.

These boots are wonderful! I searched for a long time until I found the perfect flat boots and these are the ones. They are simple with no tacky metallic embellishments like so many boots tend to have, high quality and very comfortable. I most often wear them with knee-length skirts and tights, but they would also look great with jeans or leggings. I had seen women in Paris wearing similar black mid-calf boots, but had a tough time finding anything in the US (especially a pair that didn't cost $400). Thanks Zappos for offering these!

These are beautiful boots but bit much for me. They are really an attractive pair of boots. However, it has a significant gaping issue on my calf. My calf, at the roundest part, measures 14 inches and these boots give about one centimeter gap on each side of my calf. Otherwise, these are beautiful especially if you have got meatier calves than mine.

I bought the leopard print flats and love them. Perfect for when I\'m feeling spunky. The ankle straps are a bit tedious to buckle and can be a little annoying, but they do help the shoes stay on your foot! So I forgive them and just enjoy this jazzy looking shoe.

Ordered a size 9 in the leopard. So happy with this purchase! They are stylish- perfect toe shape (not too round, not too pointy)- comfortable without needing to be broken in- and appear to be high quality construction (time will tell, I do a lot of walking!). I love these new boots. I was looking for some flat comfortable boots to wear with my jeans and legging pants tucked in, and these work beautifully. They're not too short, very comfortable, and keep my legs warm on cold days. I could wear them all day. After going to NYC last year and seeing that black boots were worn by most of the women, I finally got myself a pair. Now I'm on a search for the perfect pair with some heels.

These are perfect for work! I always break my shoes in a little before I start wearing them all day, but they were ready to go quickly. I looked for black shoes for a month before I found these and I am certainly glad I waited!

These shoes are comfortable from the first step. The heel height is perfect, especially for those of us who are not able to wear higher heels. They are beautiful on and go with everything from business casual to an evening out.

These boots are perfect! I had shopped for two years to find leather booties, not suede, heels "not-too-high", but high enough for longer pants and jeans; so these were just what I wanted. On the plus side, they are extremely comfortable and easy to pull on and on. Thank you Zappos!

This was a wonderful purchase. I had surgery on my foot last year and it is hard for me to find a shoe that is comfortable yet stylish. This shoe meets both criteria! I'm so glad I made the purchase! Zappos was excellent also! Will definitely be shopping with them in the future.

Strange sizing. This shoe definitely fits large. They're pretty cute, but I had to return them because they were 3/4 size too big.

I loved these shoes out of the box! I ordered an 11, my usual size, but my heel slipped out every step and there was a good 1/4 inch gap behind my foot at the heel. So I ordered the next size down, the 10. Way too tight. I tried heel grips in the back of the 11s; didn't work, still too much gapping. Likely a 10 1/2 would have been perfect, but sadly, there isn't such a thing. My advice: order a half size down and enjoy this beautiful shoe!

I really love these boots; they are very comfortable and give any appropriate outfit you wear a touch of finesse! The only problem I had was on the second time of wear the tip of the shoes scuffed and left a much lighter shade underneath. I had to touch up the tips with some dye. For the price paid I really don't think this should have been the case.

I love the look of this boot, but I had to send it back because the size 5 was huge; definitely half if not a whole size larger than a size 5. It's a shame; I would have bought this in black and brown.
