When these boots arrived, I was extremely pleased. They were great-looking, easy to slip on, and very comfortable. But I returned them after less than six weeks of ownership (ordered on 11/5; returned on 12/22), because the soles split in half. I don't mean the rubber cracked slightly; I mean there was a split all the way through, so you could see the under-layers. They were totally unwearable.

When these arrived, I was really excited. They looked great, felt great and were really comfortable. But just like the other reviews, after a couple of weeks of wearing them, the sole split in half and they were completely unwearable! Very disappointed!

Received my replacement pair and I am not pleased with them at all. The seam on one shoe came undone and the upper leather was coming off the sole. I do not recommend purchasing these shoes. I have not had a good experience with two pairs!!

Bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. After less than 2 weeks of wearing them the soles split in half. Returning them pronto. Do not recommend these shoes unless you want the hassle of a return.

The boots have a hard foam rubber sole. They aren't very soft. The sole is so stiff they clack on the floor when walking. I could easily live with hard soles, since the boots look very nice, but I had problems from the beginning. During the first week, the leather loop that I use to pull the boots up broke on the left boot. Looks kind of lame to see a leather strap dangling from the back of my boot. Then, two months after wearing the shoes a couple of times a week, the sole cracked across the full width of the left boot. I know they weren't super expensive, but I expect shoes to last more than a couple of months. I haven't owned other Lassen boots, but I would highly recommend that you don't buy the Francia boots!

Not bad looking shoes. They are synthetic and they have a synthetic sole which is loud on hard surfaces. For the price, a decent pair of shoes

Great looking boot. I wanted something lightweight to wear with jeans, and they are. The soles are awful, it's almost like walking in wooden clogs. They have no give whatsoever and are very loud on hard surfaces.

This shoe despite its French sounding name and high price is an absolute piece of rubbish. I bought it in December last year and by February it had all fallen apart. It seems the pieces are glued together despite the prominent stitches that are apparently just for show! I would not recommend this high price decoy of a shoe to anyone. I just wish the rating scale had a place for a zero star ranking. Easily one of the very worst shoes I have ever owned.
Brands I'd also recommend: Anything but this...even shoeless...
