Out of the box, the leather is really soft and lovely, like kid gloves. I read the review that the shoe ran 1/2 size small. I am usually in between a 10 and 10 1/2, but most of my shoes are a size 10. I ordered the 10 1/2 and unfortunately my big toe was rubbing against the end of the shoe. So between 1/2 and 1 full size too small. I would have returned for a size 11 but for a few reasons. First, the sides gaped when I walked - my feet tend toward narrow, so it may just be me. Secondly, the seams inside the shoe were sloppy and puckered. Finally, although the footbed is padded, there is no actual arch support. With my flat feet, and the soft leather, my ankles just flopped over the inside edge of the shoe. Simply not the shoe I was looking for to walk all over Europe next month.

Let me start off by describing myself. I am 19 years old, in top physical shape (not a lick overweight); I eat right, I'm in martial arts, and I do yoga every day. So imagine my utter shock when after only two times of (lightly, mind) using this shoe, my knees and hips start hurting...after the third time, not only did my lower back began to ache, but the stitching that you see along the side & top of the shoe came apart. I don't abuse shoes; this was the first time this has happened to me. Shoes last me years; I usually only splurge on new ones after I get bored of the ones I own. This purchase was a real bummer; I paid almost quite a bit for these and they fell apart. They're cute, albeit, but they have no arch support, they're made of cheap, crappy materials that were poorly assembled...I guess overall, I wouldn't wish these back-breaking, arch-aching, sole-suckers on my worst enemy. This is a bad shoe...you've been warned!

I've been looking for an updated Mary Jane with a bit of a heel. Everything about this shoe is fabulous - cute, classy, soft, and extremely comfortable. Sadly I have to return them because they're too small - I'm always an 11.5 but these feel more like an 11. Since they don't go up to size 12, I won't be adding these cuties to my collection - sad day.

These felt great when I first put them on. True to size. But after wearing them for several hours around the house the top of my foot was sore and red from them pushing on my foot, right above my toes. Otherwise they felt fine and look nice. I was disappointed that I have to return them. I do not have a cubby foot in the least!

Very cute shoe, however since giving birth 14 months ago my feet expanded and stayed that way! :( I ordered a wide and they are extremely narrow. Disappointed. The search continues.
