Absolutely love these shoes. First time I wore them was climbing the west face of the Lambert Dome and once I topped out I didn\'t want to take them off! Have also used them bouldering in the infamous boulder fields of Bishop. Just a fantastic all around climbing shoe. Would recommend it to anyone who is serious about climbing.

I'd also recommend: Evolv

Great stiff shoe for Trad climbing. They edge very well with the new rubber. The downturned toe feels surprisingly comfortable and does help with performance on mixed routes (Sport). Haven’t tried anything slabby with them yet. I sized them to 42.5 and I wear a 44 street shoe. They did stretch a bit over the past few weeks - they started out tight to the point of removal at belays. After 4 climbing sessions they became much more comfortable. Now I can keep them on for hours without any problems, they are very comfortable. Seem to stretch like the old Megas did (also had this experience with the Miuras). I have a morton’s toe, very long toes in general which usually require sizing down a little more than usual.

I'd also recommend: mythos, five ten grandstone

These are, by far, the best climbing shoes I've owned. They edge like champs and smear on damn near anything. They are, however, slightly less comfortable than their less aggressive counterparts, Sportiva's Mythos. This is particularly noteworthy if you happen to have feet of slightly different sizes as the severely pointed toes leave little room for such discrepancies. I wear a 42 in Mythos and a 43 1/2 in these.

I usually climb in Miuras VS size 39 but have TC Pros in 39.5. The half size difference is substantial and visible. Compared to a Miura VS 39.5, the TC Pro39.5 is longer. I sized them up for comfort over performance but could have gone 39 in them. They perform well enough if I crank the laces down on techy face. I haven't tried them on any steep routes, just trad climbs at the Gunks. They are far less sensitive than the Miuras VSs so I'm not completely confident in them just yet. Maybe when the break in more I'll write another review.

I'd also recommend: La Sportiva
