La Sportiva Glacier WLF Firefighting Reviews

Bought these boots because I was in need of a lightweight ground boot; a lot of high reviews on these and they're all right, best out of the box boot I think I've ever worn. Tried the Hoffman Hiker, sent them back. They work the same if not better than my Wesco's on my hooks and steps. I never had a boot where if you can put your toe on it you can climb it. Shank and ankle support are excellent. Toe is not steel, but it does have a hardened toe box. If your work involves utility work and poles you gotta have a pair on your truck.

    Brands I'd also recommend: Wesco

As a firefighter who has used these boots I must say, these boots will not hold up in any sort of fire related environment. I used the boots for basic firefighting procedures. It did not last for more than three fires. I do not recommend buying this boot if you are a firefighter. This boot needs more attention before going to fires. The company product, warranty and service does not compliment this specialty boot. I have had a terrible experience with this company and its products.

Brands I'd also recommend: DO NOT BUY FOR FIREFIGHTING
