These are the best kept secret in the high speed category, there simply is nothing else out there by any manufacturer that can match it, the perfect synergy of light weight, support and comfort is amazing, I have tried them all from Asolo to Zamberlan, pun intended, and once again no matter the category La Sportiva shows me once again why it smashes the competition over and over. Additionally, I took a new sharpie permamarker and blacked out the orange highlights on the midsoles and they look much better.

Man with wide feet coming through! These boots are light and seemingly well made. Comfortable right out of the box. Only problem, I have wide feet. Toe box is cramping my toes. Depending on the brand, I'm usually between an 8.5-9 in sizes. Tried a half size up, didn't work. Bummer! I would of loved to hold on to these.
I'd also recommend: The north face, asolo ( in wide size's ).

I had been on the hunt for a lightweight backpacking boot for quite a while. My foot mysteriously got longer and my beloved, full-leather Garmont's no longer fit. I started looking at La Sportiva after I bought a pair of their mountaineering boots last year. The Delta GTX is wonderfully lightweight but still has the full ankle support I expect. I have around 60 miles on them in my first month both in the high sierra and canyons of the Southwest. They felt broken-in on the first hike and I have only found one hot-spot on the tongue. I've had an opportunity to test both the waterproofing and how much water they hold by hiking the Narrows at Zion. They're comfortable, but I'm still getting used to how light they feel after years of full-leather backpacking boots. There are lots of seams, so I'll be interested to see how these hold up over the years. I've got lots of nicks, cuts and scrapes on my heavier boots and love their durability. Style: I could do without the Orange highlights, but otherwise, I'm a function over form guy, so don't care.
