I wore this sandal around Washington DC and did a lot of walking. They're really comfortable and are especially nice for feet that swell in the heat. It's a nice looking shoe in black.

I bought these shoes specifically for a trip to Europe, which I am on right now, and am writing this from my hotel room in Rome. My feet and ankles always swell badly when I fly, so I wanted something with a lot of 'give' but also attractive enough to wear with tailored capris and long linen pants. They worked perfect for everything! The area from the arch forward (ball of the foot and toe area) is fairly flat without much cushion, but the breathable leather foot bed almost makes up for that. I have regular width feet and wear either a 7 1/2 or 8 in US sizes (38 Euro size) and have moderately high arches. These fit a little loose for what I'm used to wearing, but are extremely comfortable and don't bind anywhere. Very important feature when you're walking around Europe. But if you want a slightly tighter fit, try them in one size down from what you usually wear. Hope this helps someone.

I love the sandals, but lately I hear squeaking noise, like if you stepped on something sticky, I tried washing the soles, I put powder in the shoe, still squeeks. Any recommendation?

This is my second pair. I have the beige color and have been wearing them for 3 years. I am hard on shoes because I keep wearing the ones that are the most comfortable. These shoes hold up and are very comfortable especially for wide feet.

I absolutely love these boots! I don't have big calves, so I always had a gap. This boot fits snug, but very comfortable and stylish. I started wearing my boots more because they are flat and I can walk all day in them.

Great for high arches - I had my doubts about these shoes because of the high vamp. I know it says "stretch", but with my high arches and wide foot, that never helps much. I bought several other styles of La Plume on the same order thinking I would need to return these, but at least I had tried! I was very pleasantly surprised when they fit the first time I tried them on. Not only that, but I was able to wear them all day! I had taken another pair of shoes along so I could switch after a couple of hours, but I didn't need them.

Sandal Look, Shoe Benefits - I have a wide foot so I like my sandals to cover a lot of my foot and La Plume's Stretch does the trick. The sandal is a bit clunky looking, but it is sleek and extremely comfortable. It is good for work and for casual. I have worn this sandal much more than I thought I would to the extent that most of my other sandals are now in the back of my closet. I would order this shoe again.

Like Slippers - Because of the stretch across the top these shoes feel wonderful - like slippers...yet are attractive enough to wear with any outfit casual or dressy. I found I needed a full size smaller than with American sized shoes. There are so great I am getting another pair in a different color.
